Crescent only felt slightly better after hearing Bane's voice. He didn't exactly sound fine, but he was obviously 'okay'.
Perhaps it really was a case of him worrying a little too much about the other and he was just busy with work at the current moment.
That didn't take away from the fact though that he still needed to do something in order to make sure that Celeste was safe. What he had heard when he thought the alpha was trying to contact him was something that he knew better than to ignore.
"Are you better now that he answered?" Celeste asked as she looked down at her phone. Bane hadn't replied to any of the messages that she sent even though he took the time to answer her call.
"A little bit. Something still probably isn't quite right, but I can figure out what that is later." He replied as he began to slow the car down. They had almost reached the final destination that he was intending to take the little human.
