The concern of fatality was one of the things that Crescent didn't like about the job he did.
Working in the medical field meant that there was a high risk that at some point in time, more often than people would have liked, someone was going to die.
Some might have argued that him being a werewolf. A hunter who killed to eat should have been immune to such things. That wasn't the case for him however.
Killing to eat was one thing to him. Watching another creature die for reasons outside of natural cause even those that fell outside of his food chain didn't bode well for him.
Sadly for the Omega though, he couldn't verbally express this, he would get yelled at by his supervisor for not keeping his emotions out of the job.
Doctors weren't supposed to feel or care too much about their patients. It added an unnecessary level of difficulty to get the job done.
