Celeste felt rather uncertain the whole day. It wasn't for a bad reason, but rather due to the fact that it felt like everything was going too well for her.
Without Diana at work, things had gone much smoother for her than they had in a while. Her other coworkers seemed to be in a better mood as well. Even being one person down and handling more customers than they had expected didn't dampen their mood.
Bane also hadn't tried to get into contact with her even after she had texted him back letting him know that she had gotten his voicemail and had just fallen asleep early. He hadn't even tried to send her some kind of reply text.
It wasn't that big of a deal to her though. If the alpha didn't reply to her or want to talk, it was just one less thing that she needed to worry about. There were other things that she needed to be able to focus her attention on instead.
