They had hardly made it back to the penthouse before Bane was trying to call her. She texted him to let him know that she needed ten minutes before she would be ready to call.
She thanked Donovan as she got out. The former assured her it was no problem and that he would be seeing her the next day when it was time to pick her up for work again.
"Just make sure to let me know if anything changes with your work schedule so that I can shift what I need to do." That was all he told her before rolling up the window so that he could get ready to leave.
Celeste didn't bother waiting until the other had fully left before she went inside. It wasn't dark out yet, but she felt more comfortable knowing that the driver was in the area still by the time that she made it back inside.
