Donovan was late in picking up Celeste after work. She had even made sure to text him beforehand so that he would know what time she got off in hopes that he would be there ahead of time.
She wanted to be away from work before Bane decided to call after he had given her a general timeframe of when he would be free to discuss why her coworkers wanted to invade his living space.
It wasn't her fault that she didn't understand how troublesome such a thing could be to a werewolf. Scents were a huge problem. Less so because they were humans but it would still bother his senses nonetheless.
The alpha hadn't said anything to her about it yet, but it was going to be one of the things that he would have to explain in the future.
Just one more thing added to already growing list of things that didn't seem to end. Who knew that it would require this much work to have a human mate?
