Rather than answering the call right then and there when Pepper handed her phone back to her, Celeste decided to take the call away from her friends.
She really didn't want them to listen when she and the alpha were talking. The last thing she needed was for them to say or do anything else that annoyed the other man he likely already was.
"Yes?" Celeste asked quietly after she had gone to the breakroom. It was the one place that no one was at the current moment. Customers were had begun to fill the coffee shop again so she knew that she didn't have to worry about anyone coming to the breakroom unless it was Edgar and he wouldn't bother her about who she was talking about.
"Care to tell me why someone that wasn't you called me on your phone?" Bane's voice's sounded too calm for her liking. The annoyance from before was gone but that hardly made her feel any better.
