Bane's night had also been a rather trying one for him as well. Being forced to shift back into his wolf form before he was properly ready made it hard for him to shift back into human form again afterward.
He had already used up a large amount of energy and not having eaten anything in hours meant that he had no way of replenishing what he did use. He was instead stuck waiting for his energy to build back up naturally over time that he didn't really have to be wasted on such things. It had to happen right in an area where there were far more humans around than he had expected there to be.
Most of them were younger foolish kids who were looking to have some kind of good time and mess about while everyone else was asleep. In his human form, he would have ignored such antics and let them do as they pleased. After all, it was only their lives that they were ruining and one else's.
