When Liam poked his head around the cracked door way, Celeste immediately felt all the tension that had built up inside of her melt away to the point that her body almost became limp.
"Oh. You're still awake." He commented when he noticed that his friend was staring at him. He had expected her to be asleep already with how late it was. He was going to say something else when a pillow suddenly and unexpectedly smacked him in the face.
"You scared me!" Celeste exclaimed as she got ready to hurl a second pillow at him. They were soft and fluffy enough that she knew there was no risk of actually hurting him by her actions.
"Sorry." He apologized with a laugh as he picked up the pillow and opened the door further so that he could step inside to pick up the other projectile that had been launched at him.
