Writing challenge

First I am pissed, I wrote 1k words about this but WEBNOVEL DECIDE TO REFRESH THE PAGE BEFORE I SAVED IT AND...

Well... I can't recover spilled milk.

...

Second, this is not a chapter.

Third, there won't be the third chapter this week, not because of this reason, but because I was running around the place due to Uni.

But this won't happen again since it was only this week. It won't interfere with the schedule and I am quite satisfied with the current pace.

It's 2-3 chapters for this novel and 1 chapter a week for my other novel, for a total of 12-15K words a week depending on how much I write.

And if we take the average of 1.5K words, that is about 8-10 chapters, so I normally write 1.5K to 2K words a day.

That takes between 1-2 hours including the editing, so I think it's time. Especially since I don't play video games that often anymore.

I cut MOBA out of my life and I feel so much free... And no, I don't play League, I am not Gay.

(This was sarcastic, League is not Gay... It's very Gay, you should play DOTA)

It has been 6 months since I started writing, and I thought to myself it was about time to start something more serious.

That is why I decided to try and join a competition, not the weekly one, but the big one that will last 6-7 months.

So I came here to ask your opinions about it.

And if you stayed so far, it means that you care about me and I will ask you to join my...

Just Kidding.

I will give you some ideas, and I hope you can give me yours and rate mine as well, what you would like to read and follow for the next few months...

(There are only a few days left till it starts, so I will probably decide if I want to write it or not until tomorrow)

I don't have an update schedule, but it would probably be every day, around 1.5 to 2K words since it's simple to write...

Trust me, I can definitely do it, I just need to stop sucking ass. The amount of time I waste staring at the city from my veranda is simply...

I will also drop the tags since the competition has a theme, here they are:

So from now on, here are some of the ideas I took from my closet...

>Testing a new Reality (MMOVR Story)

>It isn't about the game anymore (MMOVR Story)

>The village elder is manipulating our minds! (Kingdon building story)

>Death run (Lit Rpg Story)

>Time Roulette (I don't know... Modern Fantasy?)

>Arcs of Salvation (Modern Fantasy with supernatural elements)

>A Bigger World (Modern Fantasy with supernatural elements)

>Golden tree (Pure Fantasy, no outside reincarnation)

>Cave Immortal (Pure Fantasy, no outside reincarnation martial arts story)

>Broken Finger Art (Reincarnation Martial arts story)

>Hell Cultivation (Reincarnation Martial arts story... But in Hell)

As you saw, I tried to divide things and pick similar ideas, tell me what you think.

I have a few more, if you wish, I will drop more, just ask.

Now for the explanations, I will try to be very short:

>Testing a new Reality

Future Earth, Mc grew up playing a Massive Vr game and loved it, even after it stopped being updated after 10 years of activity, he continued to study the game and uncover hidden mechanics and lore because he couldn't get himself into it other games of the same genre.

He was given the chance to be the tester of the following game by the company that made the game, happy he accepted. He prepared by reading a lot of lore and getting himself in top condition, and when the day came, he woke up in the world of the game.

This idea follows the same mechanic as many before it, but instead of it starting before the players came into the world, the story starts after that, so the mc is in the future of that same world with a lot of knowledge about its lore and mechanics.

>It isn't about the game anymore

Similar story to the previous Mc, but things are different here.

He was given the chance to partake in the Beta for the next generation Vr game, and in the Beta grounds, a lot happened, and he found a glitch for potentially infinite XP.

So he spent his entire time grinding and eventually hit the level cap of 100 while everyone else stopped playing the Beta since it was a limited experience.

Because of this, he found out the secret of the game and how it could affect reality... One year before the game launched.

So he started on his journey to find out the secret of this game.

>The village elder is manipulating our minds!

A man takes over the body of the new village head that died of a sudden disease in a countryside village that is on the brink of destruction due to mismanagement from the previous greedy elder.

So its now time for him to figure out what to do in a world of dangerous monsters and wars.

This is a system story but it can change.

>Death run

Poor unlucky guy was suddenly thrown into a dungeon and he has to constantly flee from a slow yet powerful monster that is always following behind him.

He was given 2 lives and basic gear, his mission is to kill the Dungeon Boss.

But each time he dies, he loses a life and the Dungeon resets, but everything is the same, this allows him to dive in further and find more secrets and more lives.

That means he has to speedrun the Dungeon doing as much as he can, getting stronger with each life until he finishes it. All the while scrapping from the monster that is on his ass.

>Time Roulette

I got this while I was reading a manga. So it isn't completely mine.

Mc gets an artifact that randomly moves the time backward or forwards or completely stops it.

And he can do it once a day, although I have a plan for it to be longer.

I could add some more supernatural elements to it but that is for the future.

>Arcs of Salvation

Suddenly, everyone at the Mc's university gained supernatural powers, shocking the world and turning every single one of them into celebrities. But not him.

Later, during research, it was proven that the center of this phenomenon was the 1000-year-old tree in the center of the university and that its area of influence was only within the walls of the university, not a single cm after its walls.

And unfortunately, the mc was 2 seconds too late as he made his way inside.

The arc had ended and everyone got their powers, but not him… Because of this, the government stopped and everyone lost interest in him and he was mocked for being unlucky.

Knowing he had lost a massive opportunity, he almost got into depression as he saw his companions using all sorts of incredible abilities...

So why can he see a strange message floating in front of his eyes?

>A Bigger World

Novel where the mc is transported to a parallel world where everything seems… Grander.

The Mc is a 30-year-old young worker that was suddenly sent 15 years in the past when he had just entered high school.

Dreaming of making money and becoming rich enough to not care about work, he starts his plan...

However, he somehow gains the ability to call a clone, and over time, starts to seek the secrets of this world and not just monetary gain.

>Golden tree

Mc is an Elf that lived his entire life in a forest.

This is a world where there is the influence of a bigger system but its much more discreet than normal fantasy novels.

Everyone has a total of 10 slots in their soul where they can fill it up with Skills.

Skills can be developed over time, or come with birth, but they cannot be removed,

They are divided into ranks and each rank increases the slots it occupies...

The Mc was born with 5 skills all suited towards plant growth, however on his coming of age ceremony, he was given an item to increase the rank of one of his skills, and from then on, his true potential awakened...

He was abused because of it, used, tortured, and more and after he lived his life and died, he got reborn at the start of his life and a few more memories...

>Cave Immortal

Mc was a disciple of a sect and grew without caring much about training himself as he followed the waves without care.

When his parents died, he was consumed by revenge and shut himself in to train...

But a year passed... A decade... and an uncountable amount of time as the Mc was drowned in the mystery of Cultivation.

When he left his cave, the world had ended...

>Broken Finger Art

Mc was a brain researcher in modern Earth and during one of his experiments to discover and awaken the true potential of the brain, his student committed a 'mistake' and had the machine explode, killing him in the process.

And he reincarnated in the world of Martial arts!

But he was destined for misfortune as he soon lost the ability to move and became a cripple... What would he do now?

>Hell Cultivation

Mc died but did not reincarnate, instead, he was sent to Hell to atone for his sins, but instead of torture he saw an organized and bizarre society, and with it, he got a system to grow stronger.

Would he be able to grow stronger and surpass the demons that torture him daily despite being just a lost soul?
