In the days that followed, Lila tried to survive on her own in the now deserted lands. The place has been burnt to the ground except for her home which was surprisingly still standing.
She had yet to think about the event that happened following her unconscious state. She was but a child.
She knew every entry and exit point of the lands around her. This made it easier for her to hideaway. It wasn't long after the demise that she found herself in another territory.
People were better off. Unlike where she had lived for the eight years of her life, the town was big and buzzing with life.
Her outlook on life changed completely. She no longer wanted to get attached. It hurts so much to vividly recall the death of an entire village.
It was even worse knowing that she was the only survivor. She might have been of help. She didn't. All she did was watch.
