Listening to her sister recall the past only made Maya feel worse. The memories from her last birthday with Thea were as vivid as they could ever be.
It was one of the last happy moments they shared together.At first, the past Thea spoke off brought a smile to her face. It was an unconscious reaction that she didn't realize she had.
However, the smile didn't last for long. Not when she heard all the horrendous things Thea did to keep that man happy. The worst part about it all was that the said man never even loved her.
