The next day, Cosmo couldn't hold his excitement. He had spent a sleepless night, hoping for time to speed up.
His group of friends didn't realize that something had changed. Or maybe, they didn't care as long as he was with them.
Despite being teenagers, they were opportunists. Everyone knew that Cosmo was the most good-looking person around. Additionally, he had a charm to him that no one could resist.
Sadly, it was precisely for this reason that he never felt he belonged. Everyone around him wanted something from him. No one ever asked if he was doing well. They didn't care to discover the person beneath the front they loved to be associated with.
If it was before, Cosmo would have felt sad. However, today, he was glad that they didn't care for him. He didn't think he had the space to accommodate another person. Every inch of his heart belonged to his mother and his new friend. He frowned a little, feeling unsatisfied by the term friend.
