Anaya writhed and groaned. She cried, whizzed and begged but the pain only increased. Whenever it overwhelmed her to the point of unconsciousness, she would be woken up by a new round of torment.
It was as though she didn't deserve relief. She cried until she had no more tears to shed. Her body curled into itself trying to minimize the pain with no success.
As she was going through such a torment, a new one was unleashed. All the horrors from her childhood suddenly attacked her mind.
Her heart ached as though she was experiencing the pain all over. She silently cried and begged whoever could listen.
If she could, she would gladly gravel just to be granted a second to breathe. Regrettably, there was no such mercy. She couldn't get it.
The bond she had with Lila was as still as it could be. In her desperation, she tried to reach out to the two people she could be connected to.
