It was a magnificent day of the Spring season, but the sky had become dark and cloudy. It was foggy on the uphill side, and the rain was sure to fall within some moments.
The bus was stopping frequently at the stops and at villages on the way because passengers had to get in and out.
No sooner had I spoken than the big raindrops began to fall. It seemed that it wanted to fall a couple of hours ago. But now it could not hold its heaviness for longer and burst like tears. They were big droplets initially. Amused by the rains, I was very keen on going out to get drenched and feel its rich droplets on my face and body. After some minutes, the droplets gradually turned into a windy rain. I always like the rainy season and want to get drenched in it. But the rains of Nepal aren't friendly, they usually get cold and fever. They are not like Indian sub continent type rains that allow us to walk freely on the street and enjoy ourselves by getting drenched the whole day.
For me, it's splendid weather, but I did not know about others. This kind of weather- a little cold, foggy and windy rain always attracts me and leads me somewhere far away.
"Is it going to rain all day?" Jeetu asked with fear as he must have thought that rainfall perhaps was going to last for a longer time which would cause the path to become muddy and slippery.
"It must be," Som forecasted like a radio weatherman, but I was optimistic about the fine weather as I reckoned it might stop after some drizzles.
"Don't worry guys! It's just drizzling. Hope this will not trouble us and will stop soon," I said optimistically.
It stopped for a while. Some moments later, it started again and came with showering rain with a little puzzling. It lashed down on the rooftop of the bus. With the spitting water, villagers or shepherds nearby were trying to escape themselves from being drenched, driving their cattles; cows, buffaloes, sheep and goats back to their sheds who were half drenched.and shivered with cold. In the meantime, I noticed a small brown serpent slithering swiftly into the bush for hiding.
It was spraying fresh water over the silent roads, top of the trees, and hillside. It was cleaning dirty and dusty roads and transferring into smooth and slippery ones, and the bus was rolling in swiftly.
The moment and the weather really looked so pleasant that could be undefined.
"This is the best journey I've ever had in such fine weather!" I said.
"Yes, my friend. You are absolutely right," Som agreed with my statement.
The fine weather with windy rains was placing cheers on every passenger's face and enabling us to feel content that time.
We were getting a soothing fragrance of green plants, blooming flowers, and wet soiled ground into our noses even inside the bus as the gentle wind was blowing.
On our journey, we were fully blessed with the lovely weather that I always liked.
After raining for more than one and a half hour intermittently, the showering rain stopped completely and the weather became cool and blissful.
Even after the rain had passed, the soil remained wet, slowly releasing its milky white mist. The softness of the weather still remained and had a pleasant coolness due to the breeze though the rays of the sun striked.
We reached Irkhu bazaar which was a calm and tranquil village with smooth roads. The village was occupied by a large number of houses. Apart from natural beauty, it had acquired enigmatic beauty of all where hills were towering high to touch the sky.
Our dusty and drowsy eyes observed the high ridges which were stretched far away along green meadows. Reaching near such beautiful craggy hills made us assume that we were not far now from Chautara. We were just 18 Km away from here to reach our destination.
The bus drove on a narrow road on the top of a hill, suddenly it stopped at the turning point as the driver encountered a big bus just in front which was sabotaged badly. It seemed that the bus was bumped into another bus and got into a serious accident.
There were fragments of the window pane and windshield glass of the bus dispersed on the road, and buses had got some bad cracks in them.
We all saw the poor condition of the bus and a shiver went through our bodies. In a blink of a moment, the empty and silent road was choked with traffic as other vehicles also stopped and queued by the narrow road for some time.
Some passengers from our and other buses came down to see the condition of the bus and to measure the deepness of the ditch with their eyes where the bus was going to fall into.
We three also got down the bus and took a closer look at the deep valley. 'Oh my goodness! But thank god! No one is dead!'
"How and when did it happen?" I mumbled.
One of the men standing near us reported that it occured the day before yesterday in the afternoon. It was hit by a huge lorry, but the bus did not fall into the deep ditch as it luckily got stuck luckily against a large tree. The bus loaded about 25 local passengers and was going to Thampal Dhap from Kathmandu. Fortunately, no passenger died, but most were severely injured and were taken to Kathmandu hospitals for treatment.
Everyone thanked God and that divine tree which saved many poor lives.
Our bus left the place regardless, but a kind of fear engrossed my mind as the people in the bus were talking about some more severe accidents that occured in the district a few days ago.
Anyways, we reached another calm and tranquil place that was blanketed by all greenaries with sublime weather, a totally village region, from where we could catch frolicsome glimpses of nature and of the whole village through the windows. Its splendid sight scenes caught our attention and mesmerized our tired and drowsy eyes.
"What a beautiful place it is!" I muttered.
It was a beautiful village with long vertical terrains. It had few houses which were far apart, seemingly with less population. It seemed some homes were with no family.
I wanted to get off the bus quickly and take a stroll to that village. I longed to embrace the beauty of nature in my arms as I was stunned by the beauty of the place and hills.
I looked at my wrist watch which striked around two now and indicated that we were almost going to get our destination within a while as per the information of the old man. The bus was moving into corners of the empty road on the top of the hill.
We were amazed to see the place, smooth roads, and of course, the natural beauty around us.
Now we were on the hill top. As the bus was heading ahead, the coldness was also rising. Because of the cold, some of them took jackets and warm clothes out from their bags and put them on. I was also feeling a little cold but did not want to give trouble to my hands to pick my jacket out as I thought this nominal cold could not hurt me. I was thrilled and excited too, having such weather in the countryside and was hoping to reach the village soon.
All of sudden the bus stopped at the place as it seemed that we reached Chautara bus stop.
"We've reached Chautara bus stop. You all have to get off here," he said, relaxing and removing his hands away from steering.
All the passengers got off the bus, chatting, chuckling, and jostling each other. The conductor Shyamu helped all the passengers to carry down their rucksacks and heavy luggage.
All the passengers dispersed and walked to their places which were probably not far away now.
Meanwhile, my eyes were desperately looking for that tall girl and wanted to take a final look at her. When my eyes caught her sight, she had walked far away into another route, but I knew that even she might have searched for me. I stood at the same spot leaving my friends and waited for her, expecting to look me back.
I wanted to shout saying 'Hey' or wanted to follow her so as to make a little talk but could not do so. I don't know why? But it might have happened to me because of fear or embarrassment or shyness. And I thought it was stupidity too to approach any unknown girl.
I noticed that she had walked away along the route to the northwest, talking and laughing with her friends. She did not turn back or she did not try to notice me. I stood like an old tree at the place for some time, but she did not turn back. My delicate heart broke and despondency rose over my face.
"Hurry up Sami! Where are you lost?" My friends called.
"Shit happened! I could not call her," I muttered to myself.
"Yea! I'm coming."
"Whom were you looking for?" Som asked.
"No one"
"Huh! We know who you were waiting for," he added. "Why didn't you call and talk to her? You should do it, man."
"Nothing guys! Let's go!" I said, goofing off their words. They walked ahead and I sadly followed them.
Chautara is a big village full of small and big houses which stands at the altitude of 1600 m above sea level. It's the district headquarters of Sindhupalchok district. Observing the place, we knew why the place is called Chautara. Actually, village elders gather here to resolve village issues of common concerns or sometimes for merely gossip among them. Most banyan trees are dotted with, often a raised platform where some villagers are found taking rests under the quiet trees.
We saw a few giant banyan trees, including other small trees, stretched broadly along a long river, rice fields. and meadows.
Amidst them, we could see several small and big hotels and homestays lay. The expensive and luxurious resorts and homestays were upside and downside of the hill which were giving a ravishing look to the village.
It's the most frequented visiting place where a large number of tourists come to visit and spend holidays.
As we walked ahead along the way, attractive and adorable hoardings of the resorts and hotels were grabbing our attention. We were looking for the best resort to stay in. Among them, one hoarding board attracted us towards its uninspiring but well structured design on which carved CHAUTARA INN HOTEL. It was designed exquisitely like ancient castles of the kings.
"That one can be a better hotel for us," I said, pointing out one of the hotels.
"Okies!" Both of them nodded their heads.
We entered the hotel though it was expensive.
The hotel was a four storeyed building that looked a little old but luxurious one which was painted in red and yellow colours, situated on the hilltop just next to a huge tower.
At first, a beautiful garden full of fragrant flowers welcomed us with a pleasant smile which was just ahead of the huge gate of the resort and the hosts were three tall and chubby men who looked so kind and modest.
"Welcome sir!" they said unanimously, bowing their heads down.
"Thanks!" we replied, being astonished a little by their warm hospitality
They welcomed us graciously and cheerily.
I took a thorough look at the inner ambience of the resort. It was a well furnished hotel but looked like an old museum.
In the dining hall, there were some other visitors including foreigners sitting on the couches, enjoying their meals and drinks with din music. There was a little hubbub in the hall.
They all looked at us smiling as they knew we also were travellers.
We glided to the counter desk wearily.
The man who dealt with everything in the counter was average in height, but a good-looking man with an oval face and thin beard, asked, "Sir! How many and what type of room do you want?"
Som looked at me as he wanted me to respond to him.
"Excuse me! We want a room with three beds?" I said quickly, "Do you have such a room?"
"Yes, we have, sir," the man answered gently.
"Then, please book a fine one!" I urged him.
"Sure sir," the man said, "Sir, we charge five thousand Rs for the room with three beds including food service for one night."
Hearing this, words spilled out of my mouth, "Not bad,"
"Do we need to pay right now or what?"
"Do we need to pay right now or what?"
"No sir, you can do all payment while checking out the hotel."
"Oh! It sounds good!"
"Thank you sir!" he uttered.
The man called one of the service boys and handed him a key, which had three digits- 309 carved on it and ordered him to lead us to the room.
Meanwhile, I turned around and my eyes caught the unconventional decorations of the wall and got stuck at the same place, To my amazement, some old paintings were hung and three real animals' dead bodies were dotted on the wall that gave a very strange and horror look to the hotel. Being terrified by the paintings and dead bodies of animals we felt like we were at an old haunted castle.
The resort consisted of sixteen five big rooms with one elegantly decorated large dining-hall. I liked the hotel, but my mind was turning around and I was still terrified.
"Are these real dead bodies of animals?" I asked the boy, being curious and fearful a little.
"Yes sir, they are real animals," he replied politely.
"Oh!"
The boy ushered us to our room which was on the third floor. He unlocked the door with the big key.
"Please, come in sir," he said.
When we stepped into the room, we found it was big, clean and well furnished with high windows and had got three large beds, which were graced with white embroidered fiber sheets. The room had got a big television set, two small couches and four beautiful and strange paintings of nature dotted on the wall which were giving the room an elegant and royal look.
The boy helped us in settling our bags and other things. As soon as he opened the windows, I immediately moved onto one of the windows so that I could glance at the splendid sceneries of the place from inside. Through the windows, everything was really looking like heaven.
"Sir! Freshen up, meanwhile, your snacks will be ready within half an hour," the boy said, bowing his head.
"Okies! Thanks!" we said.
"Sir, I think you three are looking extremely tired. Please take a rest."
The four and a half hour long journey brought us extreme aches, hunger, and fatigue, so as soon as I saw the beds, I sprang on one of them to release tiredness.
Som first went into the bathroom to get fresh while Jeetu sat on one of the couches, lit a cigarette and started enjoying its puffs. The smoke was pouring out of the windows.
"Wow! What a lovely place!" he muttered, Wow! What a lovely place!" he muttered, standing by the window.
Jeetu was enjoying seeing nature and mesmerized by its beauty just from inside the room, at the same time, he was giving off smokes from the cigarette out of the window.
I felt my back was hurting badly, and I was sure that Som and Jeetu also might have felt the same. Som walked back to room in around fifteen minutes and looked fresh now. After him, I wanted to enter the bathroom, but as soon as I got up, Jeetu proceeded to the bathroom and ordered, "Sami, let me go first."
"Okies!" I said.
Som also looked extremely weary, so he also plunged on the bed like a beast being shot and had a long breath.
"Som, did you notice something strange on the walls of the hotel?" I asked.
"What?" he asked.
"Dead bodies of animals on the wall," I said.
"Hmm!" he said, "Are you getting scared of them?"
I tried to conceal my fear from him and replied, "I'm not, but isn't it strange?"
"Oh timid man! They are just dead animals. They are displayed using some chemicals to protect them from decaying. I've heard here, real huge animals take rounds near the forests. What do you do when you encounter any one of them?" Som said, mocking me.
"Yea! I get scared of animals, Not only me but all humans get scared of them," I retorted.
Jeetu came back to the room, wiping his face with a long towel.
"Thank god!" I said, with relief.
Finally I got my turn to go into the bathroom as I felt my stomach was giving me a little trouble now.
After some time, when I scuttled back to the room, I found both of them were busy chewing food which was delivered by the boy just a minute ago. I noticed the snacks consisted of varieties of delectable food stuff on fiber plates. They already finished some chunks of food from their plates. My food was kept aside on the table, covered with a round lid. Now I also could not hold my hunger for a long time and quickly pounced over food like a hungry lion on a small animal.
While having snacks, we again had a brisk talk about our next destination Panch Pokhari, for we probably would leave after reaching Syaule gaun and Gunsakot.
"We'll walk uphill till Syaule gaun for about 3 hours. Then how do we go to Gunsakot?" I asked.
"It's far away even from Syaule gaun which is 60 km and may take around 3 hours just by drive, so I think we must catch a bus to Gunsakot and will stay at a hotel for the night. From this place, we'll have another about 3 hours walk till Panch Pokhari," Som explained.
"It's a good idea," I thought for a while and said with agreement, being excited though I feel idle and lethargic to walk uphill but still nodded as it would be my first long trek.
"It takes 3 hours and some minutes from Syaule gaun, doesn't it?"
"Yes," Som replied.
"But it would be too much of a walk from here for us. We may not complete in one day," Jeetu contradicted,
"Why not? We must do it. I think we're going to trek for the first time in our life, so we are getting a little afraid of it. Other trekkers walk miles the whole day or one week long continually," Som argued.
We again had a brisk discussion over our next destination as Som emphasized voluntarily to scale Panch Pokhari by trekking through trails, rivers, and forests.from Gunsakot.
It was about quarter to 5 and the sun had already set in. It was a quiet place and getting even quieter at dusk. We were utterly excited for the next day trekking as we planned this kind of journey for the first time ever even though we'd visited several places together.
"Can we go for a evening jog outside?'' Som asked as though he wanted to go to inspect nearby areas.
"I must stay in the room as my legs are hurting me badly," Jeetu reluctantly said. "Aren't both of you feeling tired? I think we must take a rest in the room."
"Yes, Jeetu is right," I added.
"Okay then,"
Som gave up the idea of going outside, instead he moved to the terrace, perhaps to breathe fresh air and to make him cool. Jeetu and I also followed him.
It was a narrow but long terrace which had got some chairs for sitting and observing the place. We sat on the chairs and gazed at the beautiful area.
From the very top of the resort, we could catch some wonderful glimpses of undulating hills and green valleys and figure out more than hundred small thatched huts which were stretched away, situated amidst green valleys and hills.
I was feeling so refreshed, sitting on the chair and contemplating beautiful nature. While doing this, I expected some tasty tea, and I could understand that Som and Jeetu also wanted the same because it's always a pleasant moment to spend an evening at the terrace standing near nature and having tasty tea.
While Som and I were talking to each other about some other places, Jeetu got busy taking photographs sitting on the chair and snapped several pretty photographs of the place and nature one after another. He sometimes focused his camera to our side and clicked a few of ours as well. After snapping some photographs, he rose and started to click nature standing on the terrace.
Meanwhile, a service boy came with three cups of milk tea without any order as though he knew exactly what we wanted at that moment. The tea seemed to be spicy, but tasted so sweet.
'Hummm! The tea is so tasty' such words spilled from the mouths of Jeetu and Som and they both slurped it all within just a few seconds.
Overall, the tea made that evening sweet and pleasant.
"Hey look at that! We can see some parts of Syaule gaun from here," said Som.
"Really bro!" Jeetu uttered. "Which one is?"
"Have a look! That is. We'll climb the top of that village tomorrow, then we leave for Gunsakot by drive. After we reach Gunsakot, we must resume trekking for Panch Pokhari which is about 20 km from Gunsakot."
Som repeated the same thing, pointing the village out with his index finger. "We must wake up early tomorrow morning."
From the terrace, Syaule gaun could be clearly visible though it seemed to be far away by walking. White mountain ranges could be seen but obscurely and dimly. The entire area really looked alluring and heavenly. It could be the best place where, to enjoy the beauty of nature, you want to stick your feet for a couple of days more.
"It's a damn beautiful place!'' Jeetu exclaimed, taking puffs of a cigarette.
"Yea!"
"Do you know about the place?"
"I don't know much, but I've heard from one of my friends that we can go to Panch Pokhari easily through this village. For other things, we can communicate with the staff of the resort; they will surely guide us."
After spending some time on the quiet terrace and conversing with each other, we walked back to the room and lay on our beds again.
Som and Jeetu turned on Television set and started to listen to the news while I'd been busy turning the pages of the book 'When We Were Orphans'.
We took our dinner at around eight in the dining hall and came back to the room for rest.
Som and Jeetu were lying on one same bed and got busy listening to the news while chatting with each other.
Som sometimes engaged himself in mobile games as he always loved to play games from childhood. His mobile phones also weren't the latest technology laced but had few games in it. On the other hand, I sat up on the bed to write a diary about the day but was not able to scribble anything as the dim image of the girl had entered my mind whom I had seen in the bus. Her beauty didn't let me think anything and I was just thinking of her and trying to remember her glowed face which was fading away gradually from my mind as the time passed.
"Hey! Sami, we came here for fun not for studies. Why don't you join us?"
"No! I need to write a little. Both of you continue," I said, forbidding them.
"Yes, Som is right. What shit are you doing this time, man?" Jeetu added.
"Nothing special! Just trying to write something," I said.
"Oh God! C'mon! Leave that and come soon! You can do that tomorrow," Som added, forcing me.
"Okay! I'm coming in just a minute."
They forced me to join in their chats and talks, so I could not write much and I threw my diary and pen away next to the pillow along with the book, and I slid onto another bed next to them.
For about an hour, while playing games, we talked to each other about our schedule for the next day's visit as we'd decided that we'd check out the resort early morning after breakfast. We expected to reach Syaule gaun before noon.
It was about quarter to eleven, and we were feeling sleepy.
"Guys! Let's sleep now! We must wake up early in the morning without delay," Som reminded us, sliding onto his bed at the corner.
"Yes, we must," Jeetu said. He also slid onto the middle bed. He arranged white warm blanket and covered himself with it, "Good night, bros!"
"Okay guys! Good night!" I responded, closing my eyes.
Like all nights, that night also got longer because I always have a habit of writing till midnight and to write, it's my obligation as well.
Whenever I try to sleep at night, some thoughts about my future life revolve around my mind that doesn't let me sleep on time. That happened to me that night also, but that night was different from others because there was something special about that night which had got some unusual feelings which did not let me sleep properly.
I could not get a kip even after midnight and I was just having dreams with open eyes and making restless movements, turning up my body
Guess the reason for my restless night!
If you think that the tall and beautiful girl could be, then you are absolutely right. The beauty of that girl had become the reason to make the night longer, and I was sure that my upcoming nights also would be going to be strenuous and unhealthy.
I had been literally amazed by her magical beauty-- her face, smile, height and attractive body structure. She was such a stunning gorgeous girl who casted a magic spell over me rigorously and her beauty lay in my eyes forever.
Trust me, from that day she had been my dream girl who comes only in dreams at night.
And, I started to fancy her as I was flying high in the sky with her that night, on the other hand, I was anticipating a better cherishing adventure the next day. Thinking of what will happen in the forthcoming days, my eyes got shut-eye.
Next day, after a series of bizarre dreams, my slumber was broken by the sound of roosters and chirping birds, but could not get up on my feet as I had a late shut-eye.I turned my head and looked here and there. I found that Som was still lying asleep, covering himself fully by the blanket but did not see Jeetu. He might have woken up early in the morning and must be on the terrace with his camera and pack of cigarettes. Feeling lazy, I tried to lift my weight and got up anyway.
I quickly freshened up.
'Som, wake up!" I shouted.
"Let me sleep some more! I'm getting too lazy!" he mumbled with half open eyes.
He was continuing to sleep as it seemed that he had not slept for a long time.
"Som, Hurry up! We are getting late, it's already seven now, we have to take breakfast as early as possible and we must walk out of the resort quickly," I said, removing his white pillow.
I thought my few words hit his ears sinisterly and they tricked to break his long siestas. Finally he woke up, rubbing his eyes, but so lazily as he still wanted to hug the comfy bed. He went into the bathroom, arranging his long raised hair whereas I moved to the terrace where Jeetu was standing alone, bending over the railing even though there were fine bamboo chairs, and yes, he was busy emitting smoke, gazing at the captivating morning beauty of the place.
"What a beautiful place it is!" I slid near him and exclaimed.
"Yes,"
"What is Som doing? Did he wake up?" He added.
"Yea, he might be in the bathroom," I replied.
"What do you think if we take our breakfast here rather than in the dining hall?"
"Yea, it's a good idea," he replied excitedly.
"This is the best place for breakfast. We must have breakfast here. By the way, I've ordered to bring tea here."
"Oh!Great bro!" I said.
While Jeetu and I were talking with each other jokingly, sitting on the chairs, one of the service boys reached us with three cups of tea and said, "Excuse me, sir! Your tea."
"Oh thank you!" I replied.
"What time will you have your breakfast? It's being ready now,"
"We would like to take breakfast here only, you can bring after around 15 minutes,"
"Okay sir! It's great!" He said,"Your breakfast will reach you here within 15 minutes. Thank you sir," He spoke politely and moved away. As soon as the boy walked out, Som reached there at the exact time for tea.
We enjoyed sipping tasty tea in the blissful morning contemplating and viewing the beauty of silent hills and fields.
Being punctual, the same boy came with another staff boy, carrying three plates of breakfast and placed them on the table, which carried some pieces of bread with butter and jam both, delicious aloo chilli, sandwiches with three mugs of orange juice.
The man who was the boss of all, came near us, stood just behind and asked curiously, "Sir, now, what place are you three going to?"
"Now we've to go to Syaule gaun by walking, but we don't have much idea about this village," Som replied.
"Hmm! Syaule gaun," he muttered.
"Yes sir,"
"It's a nice place but is known as a little scary place too," he added.
"Scary place! How?"
"Sir, when you reach the village you may encounter a cave literally inhabited by some bats, And, we've heard the men who have entered the cave have not returned alive since not only horrible bats inhabit inside the cave but also an evil spirit revolves around it. The villagers have been killed in broad daylight. So please do not visit that cave, but you can just see it from far away."
"Oh! Is this true? And, have you ever witnessed this?" I asked curiously.
"No! But I've heard from many villagers."
"It's really quite strange but an interesting place to encounter, but I really do not want to roam even near that place," I said.
Som and Jeetu giggled at my words.
"Yes sir, it's better not to go near the cave," he suggested.
"Sir, could you tell us please how much time it takes to reach?"
"It's about 18 km away from here and may take around three long hours to reach by walking."
"How do you go? by drive or trek?" the man asked.
"We decided to go by trekking but we find it's too far away from here to trek this place,"
"Yes, it's a bad idea to trek because it's far away by walking. You may not walk continually like this. I think you must go by bus. Once you reach Gunsakot from that place, it's good to trek to Panch Pokhari. It may take around three hours,"
"You must take rest at homestay or hotel today, then you can begin your journey again to Gunsakot tomorrow,"
"Oh thanks Sir! Could you tell us something about Gunsakot a little, please?" asked Som
"It's a wonderful village which is renowned for paragliding and horse riding. Here, you can find several luxurious home-stays and resorts. Notwithstanding, here, long waterfalls and the beauty of the terrains will mesmerize you."
"Thank you very much, sir," said Som.
"Let's get up! We are already late," I said, finishing food and skipping to the wash basin for clean my hands.
"Yes! Hurry up!" Jeetu also murmured looking at Som, who was chewing the last piece of sandwich joyfully.
"Guys! We must check out quickly now," Jeetu said to us, wiping mouth with a red coloured handkerchief.
I hurried to the reception counter to pay bills. This time another man was on the counter to receive payment.
"Do I need to help you with some amount?" Jeetu asked.
"No bro! I will pay for all the bills here," I replied.
I took out three thousand rupees from my wallet this time and handed it to the man and in return, he passed a small receipt of the bills.
"Thank you sir!" he said.
As we carried our bags and moved to the gate of the resort, the manager of the resort came forward and said,"Thank you sir for visiting! And, have a nice journey!"
"Thank you very much!" we said together, shaking hands with all of them.
Before we left the hotel, the man pointed out one of the boys. He might have understood what he wanted him to do. He quickly got to the counter and seized a small visiting card from the desk.
"Sir, take the visiting card of our resort. Please visit again" the boy said with a smile. placing the card in Som's hand.
Som looked up the card and placed into his wallet safely.
"Thanks!" he said.
He looked up the card once briefly and placed it into his wallet safely,
"Thanks!"
Having had a talk with the staff members, we checked out the place saying 'BYE' to all of them.
It was nearly ten when we checked out the resort as we had been a little late as per our plan.
