Earth...
Silence... Now that the class has quiet down due to lack of students well except one who oddly sat alone pretending to read while as a matter of fact was very wary of his surroundings and seeing that everyone seem to have left and no more audible foot steps outside in the hallway he sighed in relief. he couldn't bare the taunt and the torture again today and all he just want for atleast a day was some quiet and peace. Trying to focus back on the book and wait for a few more minutes was when he heard a voice
"class's over boy, you can leave and if you want to read more you can go to the library" the teacher said looking up as he saw a boy still sitting in class whom she actually could recognize.
"Temi right? is everything alright?" the teacher asked as she felt something amiss, because this was not the first time something like this would actually happen as she had seen a few times that the boy seems reluctant to go home.
"everything is fine ma" he said as he slowly got up, packed his book together and quietly head for the door. He was not one to let people solve his problems for him, if he's got Nothing atleast he has his pride and nobody can take that from him. If he couldn't deal with the situation it is because he was weak and there is nothing he could do when he was weak than wait it out, wait for the pain to end or get stronger. get stronger? he knew the taught itself is ridiculous because being strong is not what happens overnight like all the superheroes movies where a scrawl looking guy suddenly wakes up to become incredibly handsome and all powered up to face his foes or else all his press up, weightlifting and other form of workout should have quickly helped him solve his problems. But reality has always proof those ridiculous movies to be nothing else but funny.
It seems no matter which age and time, the strong will always do whatever they wanted while the weak could only live to be exploited. the only escape is strength. And whatever is your strength is your defence, wether wealth and connections, or just raw power that couldn't be messed with easily, but he had none.
Standing just outside his classroom, he scanned his surroundings looking left and right before proceeding to head to his locker, reaching it, he opened it and sighed in relief as it seem that he might get the peaceful day he so much desire. dropping his books in and reaching for his coat was when an impact almost deafened him.
"Bang"
The door of his locker immediately dent in and sudden shock almost made him drop dead.
"nice shot bro" Tyler shouted as he fist bump Aiden.
That moment Temi knew his peace was over, recovering from the shock he quickly shut his locker, locking it before turning the other way to flee but immediately he turned he knew there was no escaping these guys because he could see another two coming up against him. 'how did they appear so fast, are they using a spy cam on me or something'
"trying to run" Tyler said with a smirk as he closed in on him delivering a punch to his stomach making him crump up in pain bending down but two of Tyler's friends grabbed a shoulder each straightening him up again, he winced in pain as he could still feel his stomach churning.
"Temydeyou right? what a sh*t name, remind me again where are you from?!"
knowing he was being taunted with his name as it has been done countless time before he replied in frustration.
"it is temidayo and not whatever f*ck you are-"
before he could complete his sentence another punch landed in his stomach, his face turned ugly as he was unable to touch his stomach or do anything about it only trying to sway his body to soot the pain "shut the f*ck up d*ckhead, you are a fearless one huh? and you never seem to learn guess it's time to take it up a notch then, don't worry I'm here to teach you fear" Tyler said looking over to Aiden.
"yeah let's do this" Aiden said as he brought out a pen knife handing it over Tyler.
seeing the knife Temi heart throbbed in fear as he could foresight the sensation of a knife tearing through his skin and blood spouting out.
"yeah that's much like it" Tyler said as he saw Temi's frightened face. he then slowly inch in with the knife toward his left hand which had been held in place by last guy in the group, trying to create a mental torture while enjoying every moment of it the knife slowly move closer and closer to his arm but just a moment before the contact a terrifying explosion sounded threatening to deafen everyone. It was so loud that it seemed that a massive explosion occurred just outside the school, which if it actually happened nobody within the school would have survived.
what followed was a vibration that made it seem like an earth quake was about to occur.
The explosion and vibration distracted Tyler which made him slightly thrust the knife forward piercing Temi's arm as the latter howled in pain.
He quickly withdrew the knife trying to understand what just happened and why a sudden explosion here of all places. he didn't care about whom he had just stabbed and looking at his friends he could see their frightened looks and understand that they need to get out here before something unexpected happens. signalling to them. the two holding Temi dropped him letting him cover up the arm which has been pierced with his other arm. Tyler and his friends then gathered together heading for the exit.
For a second Temi stood there as he couldn't imagine how someone could be so inhuman not caring at all that he has been hurt by them. but he knew he also had to leave as he also did not understand what was happening, moving quickly, he followed the same exit Tyler and his friends used and soon he was outside and that was when he saw what he had never expected in his life.
Everyone around seemed to have gone into frenzy as people where doing insane things such as attacking each other and also hurting themselves. Tyler who had gone out minutes ago was seen rushing up to a guy with the pen knife and stabbing it straight into his stomach while the stabbed person completely ignored the pain and took a bite out of Tyler's neck. Looking out he saw A teacher jumping out of the second floor of the principals office. A car had crashed directly into one of the school gate hold. There was chaos everywhere and he couldn't comprehend anything from it. And he was scared, truly scared this time around as the notion of the end of the world by virus appeared in his mind. He decided to turn back and find a place to hide till he could think of what to do next, because his brain had freezed over at that moment as he couldn't process all that was happening at the moment. But as he decided to turn, his body did not respond and his body started heating up as his thoughts became fuzzy. His mind was quickly blanking out and was being replaced with a single emotion, Anger. all he could feel and think of was destruction
And as he was about to go rampage buildings started falling to the ground on their own accord. all structures as far as the eyes could see were crumbling and Temi himself could feel something igniting in him, as if something was eating his every cell, the pain was unbearable and he fell to the floor at the same time he was heating up rapidly as if he was about to explode, he starting rolling on the ground, there was no more an ounce of energy in him to shout, he didn't even know how to do it anymore, every intellect and knowledge had crumbled even basic things couldn't register themselves anymore, suddenly he stopped rolling as his body kept convulsing on its own. Managing to turn his head and have a lookout the last thing he saw before passing out was everyone lying on the ground and with that everything went blank.
And suddenly the world had gone silent...
