Adam turned his head towards the kitchen window where he saw black owl pecking at the window. Somehow looking at this owl made his heartbeat faster. He could see there was a letter at that owl's feet. Looking at this scene, Adam could not help but silently fall into memories from his past life.
Adam used to read novels, comics, watch movies all day and night which made his parents angry at him but he didn't care about it as he was already stuck and constantly drowning in the fantasy world. At that time he saw a series of movies about the adventures of two boys and a girl in magical school, in a magical world filled with lots of mysteries. Learning magic, searching mysterious castle, looking at wonderful creatures... How he wished that these things would be real. How he wished for getting a letter from this school so he could enjoy this wonderful life. He knew it was just a movie, a novel, a story that was not true but he still wished for it to be true. He had seen those movies so many times that he had remembered every single detail from that story. He even had crush on the Ms.Know it all. Even though she was real, he only liked her role in that movie.
Now when Adam saw an owl sitting outside his kitchen window with a letter and while thinking about the fact that he was born in 1980s, he could not help but think about those memories from previous life. He could not help but think that this was the letter of his dreams that he always wished to receive.
Looking at Adam who was looking at window in shock and anticipation, George and Olivia both turned to look at the owl but they did not notice the letter that was tied at its feet.
"Dear, that's just an Owl. Don't worry it won't come inside." Olivia said as she thought Adam might be afraid of the owl that appeared at the window.
Listening to his mother's sweet voice, Adam suddenly woke up from his memories. He did not reply but silently got up and walked towards the window. His steps were slow and heavy as if it were carrying all his hopes and expectations. George and Olivia looked at each other but they did not stop him. For them, Adam was just a little kid looking and playing with owl. Even though he acted like matured boy but he was still only 11 years old.
Reaching out to the window Adam took a deep breath and opened the window to let owl come inside. Owl looked at Adam in confusion as if asking if this human had not see any owl till now but it still came inside and flapped wings while raising his leg to show the letter.
Adam did not waste any time this time and quickly removed the letter from its leg. Looking at the unique 'H' logo with four corners representing four houses of hogwarts- Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff - he knew this letter was real and hogwarts was real too.
"I knew it..." Adam muttered and sat down at dining table without opening the envelope. He already knew the contents of the letter. He wanted to digest this news before opening the letter or he might just scream in excitement. Even though it would not look strange as he was just 11 years old but he still felt that it would be weird for him to scream like that.
Adam took a deep breath and looked at his father and mother who looked at him with confusing look.
"Mom- Dad, I really want something from you. But before I tell you about this, can we finish breakfast?" Adam said with a smile. His smile was innocent and came from bottom of his heart. After all he got what he wished for since his previous life. He continued before quickly eating his breakfast, "Mom, can you give this lovely owl something eat and drink? It looks like it came from far away."
Both George and Olivia didn't know what had happened and looked confused but still Olivia got up from her seat and brought water and peanuts for the owl. Owl drank water and looked at peanuts as if asking, ' seriously?! you let me eat this thing?' It just looked at Olivia dissatisfiedly and flew to the window and sat down.
Adam who saw this whole scene just chuckled and asked his mother to bring some meat for the owl. He knew that owls did not eat these things.
Adam continued his breakfast while suddenly checking his status window. Normally he would not check it in front of others. Even though they can't see it, he still didn't like to open it in front of others. This time he had a feeling as if something warm was flowing in his body starting from the heart. This feeling was really special and it subconsciously made him open status window.

Looking at his never changing status window, Adam got a big surprise. His status did not just have a little change but a complete change.
His magic status was activated which explained the warm feeling flowing in his body right now which was definitely the magic. Now he could definitely learn magic and not just magic of lighting up few sparks or making ice but real magic of Harry Potter world.
On top of that his system shop was also unlocked. Maybe now he could buy different things from the shop, he will definitely explore this shop but it was not the time for it. He could see that Gold also went from locked to 0, which meant now he could increase this thing.
His items option vanished and item box option got unlocked which was one of the biggest and pleasant surprise for him as he always imagined having storage space like some kind of protagonist with system. Now he had the thing that he wished for since he got the system.
Another surprise was the task bar, up until now he had received only one task in whole 10 months. But with this single letter he got 4 new task which rewarded not only so much special points but also gold which he lacked right now. He can guess that these gold will definitely be required to buy better and rare things just like in games.
Looking at so many new things, he could not wait anymore so he just finished his breakfast and opened the letter in front of his father and mother.

"What kind of joke is this? Magic school? Really? who would believe this kind of thing?" While Adam was laughing madly in his heart looking at this letter of his dreams, his father thought this thing was joke. These kind of joke might have been weird in previous world but the world Adam was in right now was the world where even muggles used magic in a way or another so these kind of jokes were pretty common.
"Indeed, there is no such school as magic school. Maybe someone wanted to scam us." Olivia agreed with George's opinion. Owl sitting on the window made dissatisfied noise as if retorting at their ignorance.
Adam knew this was going to happen so he had finished his breakfast before talking about this matter. Now he had to convince them which was not hard for him as both of them had great trust in him. So he started explaining about hogwarts to his father and mother. Their expression changed from joking to seriousness to surprise to disbelief. Both of them did not ask how Adam knew about this but both of them slowly digested what he told them and started to believe it little by little. But still majority of part was still unbelievable for them as Adam told them many things that muggle parents of hogwarts students didn't know about.
"But what... what if it really is a scam?" George still did not believe many things while Olivia also nodded at her husband's words as she was also worried about her son's future.
"Then mom-dad, how about we send them the letter that we would like the proof about magic school? we all know there is magic so it is not surprising to have magic school so let's just send them a letter first and then decide." Adam said as he knew about the usual procedure where professors come home to tell parents about the existence of magic but in this case they would just need to prove the existence of magic school.
Adam didn't wait for George and Olivia's reply and directly sat down to write a reply to hogwarts.
'Professor McGonagall,
I have received your letter and I am very happy to go to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. But my parents would require proof about the authencity of the magic school. I hope you can help me convince my parents.

Adam quickly tied the letter to owl's leg.
"Go quickly, I will prepare something good for you to eat if you bring back reply to the letter."
Hearing these words, Owl made pleasant noise and flew out of the kitchen window on its way back to hogwarts.
