Chapter 30 - Part 29

A sunny morning enveloped a city that was very busy and crowded every day, New York City. Yes, what other city can bring Alland and Marsha together for the first time? Okay, forget about what happened that night. Back to Alland's activities this morning which felt quite heavy, even though the sun had just appeared.

This morning Alland planned to finish all his work in the next few days. While Marsha is still in London, this is an opportunity for Alland to be able to focus on his work without having to think about Marsha and her future child. Of course, he has a plan that he has determined, therefore before he will pick up Marsha only tonight Alland will only focus on his work today. Alland didn't want all of his plans to fail because of the sheer amount of work piled up on his desk and making everything go awry.

Drrt... Drrt...

The long-duration vibration emanating from Alland's cell phone that he placed on the table made him have to turn his head for a moment. Alland could see that it was Landon Stanford, his father.

"Why did you call me, dad?" he asked without further ado.

"Can't daddy call his son?"

"I'm busy dad, say what you want to say." he said lazily.

Actually, without Landon saying the purpose and purpose of calling himself, Alland had guessed correctly. What's more, it wasn't for having dinner with Marsha?

"Do you think you're the only one busy in this world, huh?! I'm even busier than you." Landon said annoyed to find Alland who didn't seem to like receiving calls from him.

"Dad please, you know i won't break my promise. You don't have to make sure i'm coming or not tonight. Besides, i already said i'd come with her, didn't i?" Alland said as he leaned back in his soft chair.

He knew very well why his father had called him which was why Alland had made it clear right away.

"Okay, don't let you deny it because your mommy won't let you be single again after that," he said to tell.

Alland took a deep breath. "Yeah, i know. Tell her i'm coming."

"Good, i'll tell her."

"Dad?" call Alland quickly before Landon ended the call and was answered with a low grunt from Landon.

"Is Alisya coming?" he asked for sure.

Landon seemed silent for a moment. "Uhmm, you'll find out later." the answer was then immediately disconnected the phone unilaterally.

"Just watch out if you're still mad at me, sis." Alland muttered.

"Marsha?"

Hearing Hans calling her, Marsha glanced at her manager.

"What do you think?"

"I've been thinking a lot about it, Hans. You know when i heard it, i freaked out." Marsha replied while looking into Hans eyes with a sad look.

Hans nodded slowly as a sign of understanding Marsha's feelings. "You don't have to worry. i told you, it doesn't matter if you choose the right person. He wouldn't have let you get hurt." Hans said trying to calm Marsha down.

"But what if he hurt me?"

"Is that what you were thinking earlier?" asked Hans which was returned by a small nod from Marsha.

"Listen to me, he's a nice guy. He won't hurt you a single line, i can see it in his deep stare at you Marsha."

"I don't know Hans, i don't know. Alland is very hard to predict." Marsha said quietly, half in a whisper.

"Don't think weird things, remember your baby-to-be. Even if you don't like it or whatever the reason is, at least stick with it Marsha. Don't be selfish just because your weird feelings aren't even true." Hans said trying to get rid of the negative thoughts that had been attacking Marsha's brain.

Hans was right, Marsha thought.

"Okay, now everything is clear. Alland loves you and so do you, i hope your doubts don't affect our plans. You know that right now Alland is the right man for you, especially the father of your baby."

"Hopefully what you say is true."

"What else are you bad at? Don't ever imagine something that won't necessarily happen. You told me that yourself." Hans said again.

"I'm sorry Hans, this whole thing scares me. I still need myself if i can get through it and everything will be okay." Marsha said to Hans.

"That's why you have to get rid of all your bad thoughts about whatever is on your mind. Now you have to think about how you will see them in front of his family and the future." Hans said reminiscing to which Marsha nodded in return.

"Yes, you're right Hans, and always have been. We'd better get back to New York now before i'm too late for the Stanford mansion." Marsha said at last.

Hans was relieved.

"Let's go!"

As Marsha had said, she would be home before sunset. Now to be precise at John F. Kennedy International Airport, New York, Alland was waiting for Marsha to arrive, who had gotten off the plane and was ready to go directly to the Stanford family's mansion.

Even Alland was also preparing himself to visit the mansion he hadn't visited in a long time. Marsha's presence in his life these past few months made Alland's life calm enough to visit the family home. Because then his family members, especially his mother, will no longer betroth him to a woman he is not want to marry. Alland had already said that he didn't like the matchmaking.

Alland's lips twitched in pleasure, he smiled broadly at the sight of Marsha's tiny body who was seen walking toward his car which he parked in a special VIP parking lot.

Marsha's body is not petite because she is a famous model and also a top artist, but if she is side by side with Alland, her body is indeed quite small and Alland enjoyed the difference. Alland liked Marsha just the way she was. It doesn't matter if the woman has a height that is far from him. The most important thing is that Marsha belongs to him, a woman that Alland loves very much.

Instead of saying hello, Marsha immediately scolded Alland. "I told you, i could go alone." Marsha protested, who was now in Alland's car.

"Then my parents will think that the two of us are just an arrangement. You know they're not that old-fashioned, what would they think if they saw me coming alone? Work reasons? That's such a cliché." said Alland who sounded annoyed at Marsha's protest.

For the God's sake, they just met after a whole day yesterday they didn't see each other at all. Instead of refraining from avoiding the frequent debate between the two, Marsha made it even more complicated.

Even though Alland just wanted them to go away for now without any of these debates. Enjoying the time between the two along the way to his family's mansion, but Marsha is still Marsha. Not Marsha if she can make the atmosphere calm and peaceful. The woman loves to tease herself. Not only that, but Marsha can also make Alland's mood very bad and after that, very easily Marsha was able to turn it into good again very quickly. Yes, that's one of Marsha's strengths.

Marsha snorted with embarrassment. "I don't want to justify you and i don't want to argue anymore. Now we better get going, your family is waiting for us." Marsha's words made Alland growl in annoyance, holding back his anger.

"You don't want to give in, huh? Whatever i also don't want to argue with you anymore. Like you said i will take you to my family's mansion." said Alland who started to drive his car out of the airport parking lot towards his family's mansion, which is quite a distance from John F. Kennedy International Airport, New York.

On the way, Marsha, who really couldn't help, but speak finally raised her voice to ask something that she had to make sure so that she wouldn't embarrass herself in front of the Stanford family.

"Are your parents the only ones we'll meet later?" her question made Alland smile sarcastically.

"What a ruckus. I thought you wouldn't talk to me anymore." he said half teasing Marsha.

"You! I'm just saying i don't want to argue with you, not to answer my question. Now answer it!" Marsha snapped angrily.

Alland shook his head resignedly with a faint smile that was not seen by Marsha. "Okay, it should be just my parents."

"Should be? Does that mean maybe your relatives will be there as well?"

"Of course not. You know I have an older sister, her name is Alisya. It will be a very long story if i tell you about my problems, you will find out later." he said to tell.

Marsha nodded her head in understanding. She forgot that the man next to him had an older sister. No wonder Alland is quite stubborn and spoiled, like a child.

"Will Alisya come too?" Marsha asked curiously.

"I dunno, i was hoping she'd come to see us. You know, i miss her so bad." Alland answered hopefully while showing his pitiful face which made Marsha laugh funny.

"You spoiled child." she chirps unconsciously.

"Hey, i'm not a spoiled child!" Alland protested not to like it.

"Then what? The stubborn youngest son?" Marsha taunted again, who was still laughing with her cute expression that should have made Alland angry with that joke.

Strangely he liked it. Alland liked Marsha's taunts at him as well as the laughter. The expression that Marsha was showing him at this moment made Alland's heart warm.

Ah, Alland can go crazy just because of a Marsha.

"I don't know what to say, but you know. I love you, Marsha, i love you so much," Alland whispered right in Marsha's ear, making Marsha's entire stomach seem to be filled with the many butterflies flying in there. Tickled her mercilessly which made her feel ticklish.

"I know that," Marsha replied with a sweet smile.
