"Don't jinx it! The weather is nice today!" shrieked Rosetta after Melva relayed to her what Davis said, willing her own words to come true as she and Melva were riding on Davis' back to the palace.
Melva was using her clairvoyance to zoom her sight on the forest behind them. "The cage of fire is still there. Firm and strong. The sirens and vampires can do nothing to it. Relax. This should hold them long enough until the trial ends."
Davis fastened his pace, anxious about the weather because of his own worrisome thoughts, and the wind hit Melva's face stronger, making it harder for her to open her eyes wide. She tried to zoom into the palace and see how the trial was going, but the palace was too big. She had no idea where the trial was held.
