Rosetta and Davis were already sitting in the meeting room on the floor of Alden's residential building, clearly waiting for Alden to join them. What they had not expected was Melva following behind him, because she was supposed to stay in the cell with Vance. They looked surprised to see her there.
Alden answered their question for her. "Vance has lost control over himself. Again. It is best we do not approach him until he completely calms down."
"What about his meal time? Who is going to go in there and forcefully feed him?" reminded Rosetta about another reason why they would need to approach him soon. "I am totally not going to volunteer myself on a suicide mission."
Davis was about to offer to take the job, but Alden quickly stopped him. "Not you. You are his beta. One howl from him and you will lose control of yourself. I guess I am the only option left. Lucky me," said Alden sarcastically, his tone almost grieving.
