It felt like forever before Melva was finally put down very harshly on the ground, her sack thrown off carelessly into a hard surface. Still, her kidnapper did not let her out of the sack. What did they want with her? Why would someone kidnap her?
There were some incoherent conversations she could hear from outside the sack. She had no heightened hearing like the werewolves, so she could not make out what they were saying. There were obviously more than two people who had kidnapped her. But there was no way of knowing why she was here. Or whether Vance was anywhere near her.
She began to worry if the kidnapper only took her here and Vance was somewhere far from her. With Vance's unstable condition, it was impossible for her not to worry about random relapses he would experience while she was not with him. She had to get away from here and get back to his side where she could make sure he was alright.
