It felt like Vance wanted to run away from the reality of their grave situation by staying here with her, temporarily forgetting that they had big problems to take care of. They needed time away from reality after spending a few days living like vigilantes. Watching the sunset was one of the escapes Vance was taking.
Even after they left the beach, Vance was taking her to an inn to have their dinner there. Melva was hungry, so she had no intentions to refuse the offer. It was weird to see that they were the only visitors in the inn when Lunaris was supposed to be a lively town. Most of them had been living in hiding since the royal order had been issued, because most people who lived in Lunaris had connections with werewolves, the creatures who would be captured on sight by the vampires.
