The sound of the crowd whistling and cheering on them snapped Melva back to her senses. She had been so preoccupied with Vance who was kissing her as if they were alone in their chamber and she had forgotten that she was in front of the King and the nobles. That was so embarrassing. They were doing such an intimate thing while being watched by so many people. The urge to hide was overwhelming as it took over her and she pulled away from the kiss, burying her face in his chest and her fists clenching on his suit, refusing to show her face that was burning hot.
Vance laughed while embracing her whose face was pressed against his chest, one hand caressing her hair. "How adorable. I cannot imagine the woman in front of me right now is the same woman who shot arrows at me."
"This is natural! How can you have no shame?" hissed Melva incredulously.
