The next thing Melva saw was Alden who was staring down at her worriedly, seemingly panicking because he did not know what to do. She realised next that they were currently underground. Alden must have transported them here when Melva lost consciousness.
She wondered how long it had been since then. Was the fight over? Or were they still in the middle of the fight? How bad was it now? Why was she only here with Alden? Where were the others?
"Thank goodness, you are awake!" exclaimed Alden excitedly as he saw Melva beginning to sit up, hurriedly scrambling closer to support her. "Do not force yourself. You just regained your consciousness."
"What happened?" asked Melva weakly, her voice hoarse.
