It was working. Melva did not know exactly how, but it worked and that was all she needed to know. Her warmth was almost visible when it travelled from her body to theirs. It was like a faint red light connecting their hands together.
Melva had not paid any attention when she had healed Rosetta and Vance before. Both of them had been exceptional cases where she had healed them unconsciously, out of reflexes. She had not done it on purpose. It was difficult to learn how to activate her healing ability from that experience.
It was also unclear whether those times were the same as this one where she could feel that she was channeling her warmth to them. There was even a dim red light to prove the transfer. She did not know if there had been a red light, too, when she had healed Rosetta and Vance.
