Melva never talked with any members of the Barnett Family, or any other people in Ichorhold that had not talked to her first. She was worried that she would cause discomfort to them. Most townspeople of Ichorhold thought that having any form of interaction with her would bring them bad luck. They believed she was a cursed human being that came to their town to bring ill fortune to anyone that dared to cross her path. However, Ichorhold had the bad reputation of exaggerating everything and making up terrifying stories to teach their children. No one would know which was the truth out of the rumours that were spread around the town.
