"Odd? What exactly did you see?" inquired Melva curiously. The bartender was being mysterious and secretive with his information, successfully making Melva interested with what he was going to say. It must be something big, since he was being this ominous.
Arlie seemed wary with his surroundings and reluctant to tell her the important information at the tavern where they might be heard by anyone. He gestured at her to follow him and without hesitation, she followed him to a room at the back of the tavern, which must be the private room of the employees.
There was still a possibility that Arlie was working for the witch that was hiding here amongst the humans. However, if Melva refused to follow Arlie, she would never know whether Arlie was trying to tell her something important or he was going to kill her. At this point of her life, she was already used to the danger she had to face.
