"Rise and shine, lovebirds!"
Melva jolted awake at the voice waking her and Vance up early in the morning the next day, because it was not Linwood's voice. It was a woman's voice and it was not Rosetta's. It was Lady Chlora's.
The blinding sunlight shone directly on their faces as Lady Chlora opened the curtain of their chamber to wake them up with the light. Vance groaned out loud in irritation, burying his face on the back of Melva's neck and embracing her closer to force her to stay in bed with him.
Melva's eyes were already wide open, thanks to the blinding sunlight, so she had no choice but to wake up. It was time for them to depart anyway. They had to leave now.
"I will leave Duke Vance to you. I am going to wake up the others," chirped Lady Chlora brightly. She seemed to be in a great mood today, because she was being extra cheerful. She even went as far as personally visiting their chambers one by one to wake them up early in the morning.
