Chapter 33 - The Finals Part 1: War Ready

The tension in the air was almost crippling.

The day had finally come.

'I'm going to meet her again....Amber..'

Killer was sure he could hear his own heart beating. The entire arena was dead silent, despite the fact it was filled to the brim with people. Thousands of spectators had flocked from all over to come and witness this battle for dominance, money, fame and everything else in-between.

In a matter of moments, the gates to the locker rooms were going to be opened and the full force of each gang's might was going to flood out.

Killer looked around the locker room. Everyone was present except Last Resort, Boris and Eliza.

LR said he needed to handle some stuff and Eliza said Boris had ordered her to call in an old favor for him. Boris was still AWOL.

This was a bit of a problem since they needed LR's monstrous strength and Boris' strategic genius to make significant progress in fighting the FLW.

No matter.

Triple had come up with a decent plan as the interim commander. If they played their cards right they could walk away from this fight with the W.

Killer didn't really care if they won or lost though. He was only there for Amber.

But if the rest of the gang was willing to help him achieve his goal...then by the beard of Zeus he as going to do the same.

"Alright then. Don't forget our plan..." Triple A called out to the Taitanzu gangsters. "You all fight as hard as you can, clear a path for us the gang heads to take on Amber and her deputy. Under no circumstances should any of you take on her in a one-on-one. If you meet her out there then your best bet is to flee!" Triple spoke solemnly, making sure his commands got across to the rest of them.

"In the event that you feel yourselves losing consciousness or hopelessly outmatched then use the cat-rings to knock out your opponent. We should all do our best and hold out till LR and Boris arrive with possible backup! Let's go out there and give it our all!"

Casey finished tying heavy bandages around his fists and slapped Triple A on the back, grinning from ear to ear.

"All right Taitanzu, let's go win that motherfucking money! Let's go win Brawlhalla!!!!"

The time had finally come.

She was going to meet this Killer person.

And find out what really happened on the day her parents died. She didn't care how many people she was going to have to tear through to reach that truth.

Joan put a hand on her shoulder and flashed her a reassuring smile.

"We're going to crush those Taitanzu sons of bitches, bring back that money and find out what happened to your parents"

The FLW commander was thankful for that.

Reaper who was standing on her other side was silent, looking forward with a strange aura about him. It was like determination and fear mixed into one.

The young Alvarez was going to ask but she was interrupted by the sound of a siren and the gates swinging open.

This was it.

The games had begun.

The crowd went wild as both sides rushed towards each other, the most anticipated event of the entire year had finally come.

Taitanzu Vs Fort Lauderdale Warriors.

The front lines of both sides clashed into each other, creating a sound like rumbling thunder as neither side hesitated to begin tearing into the other, the members of Taitanzu's lower echelon doing what they were told and doing their best to clear a path for the 5 gang heads to get to Amber quickest.

She was no doubt their greatest priority; dealing with her first was going mean a sure fire victory for Taitanzu.

"Damn...these warriors... there's a lot more of them than I can remember!" Casey called out to Triple as he smashed two gangsters heads together, spilling their blood all over his face.

"It seems that she must have allied herself with some other gang! I noticed some new guy by her side. Stick to our plan until LR or Eliza arrive with backup!" Triple A shouted back as he snapped the arm of an aggressor.

Luckily (or unfortunately depending on how you look at it) Amber seemed to have the same thing in mind, looking for how to reach Killer with minimal effort.

"Joan! Cover me! I'm going to seek out that Killer boy and see if I can take out their gang heads!" The grey haired teen yelled through grit teeth as she punched a Taitanzu girl hard in the nose.

The FLW deputy nodded her head and moved to stand behind her superior, using her bo staff to keep any attackers at bay as they slowly moved deeper into the heart of Taitanzu's forces while the other gang's heads did the same.

"I think I can see Amber and Joan up ahead" Noah said as he subconsciously put a hand on the pouch where he kept his canister of Hype. That was the name of the drug he used to get the win. The blonde grinned.

He wasn't going to let Amber beat him again.

At last the two groups met in the very centre of all the chaos.

Killer and Amber looked each other dead in the eye.

It was like time had come to a halt.

"Amber?'

Before any of Taitanzu's gang heads could make a move Amber had already blitzed past their defenses and landed a solid punch on Triple, sending him flying into a bunch of soldiers.

Killer realized this was going to be an uphill battle.

And time seemed to start again.

Amidst the fighting, Reaper slunk into the shadows.

I have to hurry.

Boris wanted me to contact this girl...

Is it possible backup for the match?

But our history with her...I hope she agrees to this.

Eliza swallowed and knocked on the door in front of her, wondering why on Earth she was asked to come to the Deadhead residence.

"Huh?" A tall girl opened the door and looked left and right before looking down on Eliza. "Who might you be?"

Eliza took a deep breath and handed the girl the note. "This is from Boris. My commander"

The girl collected the note and read it with a look of intrigue on her face.

Eliza studied her features in the silence. She was a few inches taller than Boris but shorter than Last Resort. She had waist length black hair and hazel eyes with fair, lightly tanned skin. She had the same seriousness to her face that Boris had.

"Oh yeah. I remember Boris mentioning I should keep in touch with that gal... it's finals already?" The girl put the note in her pocket. "Name's Christine Deadhead and I'm going to be your key to winning this damn thing"

Before the red head could ask her anything she was grabbed by the hand and dragged into the garage to behold the sight of a shining black and red KTM corner rocket (basically a black and red motorcycle) with the words 'DEADHEAD ROCKSTAR' emblazoned on the side.

"Hop on bitch, were heading to the abandoned stadium!"
