(A/N: Meh.)
"You have returned…" Li Qi Ye nodded in acknowledgment, Nan Huai Ren backed away and stood at the opposite side of Li Qi Ye.
In some ways, Li Qi Ye was actually more bearable….
"So… What's with the big statue?" Yun Xie sat down on a nearby rock, sharpening a katana he had created previously.
"Just a small matter. Don't think much about it." Li Qi Ye smiled, watching as Nan Huai Ren tried to emulate himself in the way of the stick.
"Hey…. Can I try?" Yun Xie asked Li Qi Ye questioningly.
Li Qi Ye once again nodded, and Yun Xie turned to the frozen Nan Huai Ren, who embarrassedly threw the staff to Yun Xie.
He twirled it a little, smiling. "8th Verse: Beggars Song Dance."
Yun Xie spun the staff around, at breakneck speeds, completely shielding him from imaginary attacks. Then, his demeanor changed once again, and he ruthlessly swung the staff forwards, piercing the ground.
"Pumba Zero Stance: Panhandler x Burning Dragon Claw: Fire Flame Dragon King"
The ground around Yun Xie tore open, creating a huge crater, a giant explosion of talon-like flames tearing through the nearby landscape.
Nan Huai Ren stumbled back, scared. Li Qi Ye looked on, sort of surprised. This guy was really good…. Those spear arts from before were no laughing matter, combined with the flame art, it could probably completely annihilate an Enlightened Being…. The technique was also performed almost flawlessly, and with deadly precision.
"Senior! Please warn me before you do that!" Nan Huai Ran gasped, as the burning flames flickered, casting a fierce wild amber glow over the evening sky.
"Yes, yes…. Yun Xie nonchalantly inspected the staff, before snapping his fingers, causing the flame to disperse.
He stepped out of the crater, returning the stick to Li Qi Ye before departing, back to their temporary villa.
Walking down the neatly paved sect road, disciples made way for him. The news of him completely clapping the "three geniuses" had spread throughout.
There were a few pretty well-known "Geniuses" in the sect. Of course, there was the recently deceased Xu Hui, and the Nine Saint Princess Something Shuangyan. These two were probably the more well-known ones.
Below them, were the over a thousand lesser "Geniuses". A few of the more reputable ones were the three "Tigers" of the sects Northern Disciple Faction. Fei Hua, Feng Rong, and Dong Xijing.
Yun Xie, or the "Unpronounceable" Fire Fist, had beaten them half dead with practiced ease in about three minutes.
He really should translate his name to the local tongue… Or he would forever be A'Te or A Che Si er or whatever they called him.
Those losers may come to take revenge in the future, or their masters, or ancestors, or whatever crappy backing they had, but Yun Xie did not really care. Just more practice dummies…
He was beginning to sound more like Li Qi Ye now….
Yun Xie walked down a few stone steps before a group of disciples stepped in front of him. Yun Xie sighed, brushing his robe, a dim flame flickering down the side. They did not seem to be hostile at the moment, but a little intimidation always helped.
Then, from behind the disciples, a woman stepped forwards. She was beautiful, with silky long hair and a face that resembled one out of a painting. Her thinly plucked eyebrows were arched perfectly around her crescent-like eyes.
And of course… She looked cold and arrogant. What a classic….
She wore a pure white robe and some other details Yun Xie could not be bothered by.
"Umm….. It was…. Lin Saoyuan? No…. Wait a minute. Liu Yuyan? No. Li Shuangyan right?" Yun Xie sighed lazily, too tired to think. After all, he had spent the whole day touring the place and beating up idiots.
"How dare-" One of the sim- shrimps glared murderously and yelled loudly, trying to get Luo Shuangtian's attention. No… It was Li Shuangyan….
(A/N: From now on. Simps will be called shrimps because I am a family-friendly novelist. )
"Wanna die?" Yun Xie smiled, his Sharingan flaring for a split second, sending the shrimp stepping backward.
"So…. You are the Nine Saint Princess I believe?" Yun Xie asked Li Shuangyan with slight unease.
He was uneasy, as Yun Xie did not know if he had gotten her name right….
The only two people he had gotten the name right of, was Nan Huai Ren, and Li Qi Ye. That was because Li Qi Ye was the main character, and…. Nan Huai Ren was sort of a funny guy. Protector Mo did not count as "Mo" is pretty easy to remember.
Yun Xie was pretty bad with names unless they were from anime or something….
Kamaboko Gonpaichiro! Naruto Uchiha! Monitsu Agamasu! Zolo D. Rorono! He knew them all!
(A/N: Zolo is Zoro. As in some places, like the area I live, the translation is into Zolo.)
That was a joke.
"Indeed." She said coldly, her lilting voice sounding like a symphony…..
"Well, I'll let you pass. Thanks. Bye." Yun Xie politely bowed and walked around them, up towards the mountain. He was not in the mood for this….
Li Shuangyan was actually sort of curious about the random man from the Cleansing Incense Sect that could wipe out three of, though not as talented, but pretty strong disciples.
Yun Xie seemed ordinary. No cultivation base, ordinary clothing, and so on. But he was nothing but ordinary…. The flames he produced were…. Almost like, a part of him, and Yun Xie's pure strength could make people back away from him.
It was frustrating. A complete enigma who honestly couldn't give a @#$% about anyone.
Before, when she first noticed him, he only seemed to be paying attention to the surroundings, and everything else just seemed to be air to him, as if there was nothing in the world that could stop him.
He was relaxed and lazy, and she was quite offended when he got her name right quite a few times….
But…. Otherwise, she had a decent impression of him.
Li Shuangyan walked away, the crowd of shrimps following, insulting Yun Xie.
The classic.
Yun Xie walked up the villa path. How much time was put into making even one set of steps? Yun Xie estimated, that besides the "grand" floating adobes, the rest of the peaks, added up, could probably have more than a billion individual steps…. Scary.
Sometimes, in life. You just have to do useless stuff….
(A/N: Life lesson from a master procrastinator.)
Next-Day….
"With just one word from senior, and I will jump through any fire and water without hesitation!" Nan Huai Ren proclaimed loudly.
Yun Xie shrugged his shoulders, stretching a little.
Li QI Ye had already written some words on the cave or whatever he was going to do, and was now smiling lazily in front of them, as they walked to a grand portal to leave the sect.
It was huge, about as tall and wide as a five-story house. Glowing runes and talismans adorned its slides, and it looked pretty majestic.
Their treatment from before differed greatly. As the Demon King Lan Ren was now a lot more respectful and such. Wait…. Not Lan Ren, it was Lun…. Re? Lun Ri? Probably Lun Ri….
It was a slightly disorienting experience, as they walked out the other side, just outside the Cleansing Incense Sect on a hill.
Yun Xie and Li Qi Ye headed off, while Nan Huai Ren and Protector Mo went back to report to the Six Elders.
More Timeskips…. Cause…. Why Not?
Later in the Day…..
Yun Xie sat down in a restaurant, eating some noodles. Currently, he was in a large nearby city that no one cared about. Eating….. Noodles. Duh.
"You dare!" Outside, a rich kid in golden robes was beating up a peasant.
Yun Xie slurped some more noodles, not really caring.
"How dare you!" A young arrogant voice rang through the landscape. From behind a cart, a handsome young man also dressed in peasant clothes stepped forwards, He wore a large sword on his back and a smirk.
Yun Xie watched in interest as the young master who was beating up the peasant engaged in his normal young master talk.
They engaged in a scuffle, flaring their first-level cultivation strength. "Iron Turtle Gauntlet!"
"Blue Sky Shadow Strike!"
Yun Xie yawned, finishing his noodles and tossing a few taels to the boss, who nodded nervously.
He walked out of the restaurant, trying to walk around the fight and off.
Nobody obstructed him, as most of them, besides a few who had stayed to watch the fight, did not want to get involved.
Yun Xie, after leaving the town, blasted off into the air, returning to Lonely Peak.
