(When words are included by • means it is being read by Akio)
It's been six months since Akio unlocked the passive of mana absorption and he still doesn't know what this passive does yet. He now understands almost all words of this worlds language. But he is still unable to hold a conversation, he can say most of the words and keeps this fact hidden. As it's not normal for a child at six months to talk and he would rather not be the focus of attention. He had just learned how to crawl, but continued expanding his mana pool. Each session went on longer and longer as his core increased In density. He now gained up too 100 mana per session now. Which pleased Akio
'Open status' Akio thought after finishing his session to expand mana

Akio at his mana in satisfaction, after doing it for sixth months his progress in mana has increased dramatically. But he was getting quite bored with it as session now lasted upwards of 3 hours and they leave him exhausted.
Akio crawled to the other end of the sofa. As he was now able to crawl his parents now let him roam with supervision. Everything was normal, he would wake up eat, lay there, eat, nap, eat, sleep. which made him feel like he was going insane. But then he found a loose nail in the back end of the crib. By removing the nail and swinging the board right he was able to get out. So he was able too roam at night when his parents are asleep. As he now slept more during the day, he was wide awake at night. The house he lived in was very small, only consisting of 5 rooms and no second floor. His crib was in the largest room against the wall. A sofa and a small broken fireplace was located on the left wall. There was a table that was situated in the middle of the room, a bookcase beside the wall on the opposite side of it. Two windows on either side of the bookcase and one window above his crib. The right side was an open doorway that lead to the main hallway.
'I wonder if any of those books would be of any use to me' he slowly dropped of the rugged blue sofa and slowly crawled over to the bottom of the bookcase. The hardwood floor was cold and the bookcase was almost three times the size of him.
Akio tried to tip over the first book on the first reachable shelf. He hand to lean back to reach the top of the book and once he managed to get a finger over the crease, he pulled. The book made a small audible THUNK as it fell to the floor. The book cover read •cooking recipes• Akio let out a small humph as he tried the second book.
This process continued for a while until the 6th book. Once this was tipped over he read the cover.
•The world and its magic•. Akio could not tell if this was a fantasy novel or a book about this world. With hope he opened the book up and frowned. He couldn't understand over half of the words listed. He had learned to read from his mother, as his mother had a small habit of muttering when she read harder books. As well as from when he was read too by his mother to put him to sleep. But thankfully he noticed that most of the words he didn't know were actually magic runes to learn basic spells. but the words he did know were scrambled in between the letters of magical runes. making reading this not possible yet. Akio was upset and rubbed his hand over the text, wishing could understand it by sounding it out.

mana cost:50
[can not be cast as mana isn't developed]
------------------------------
Akio looked at this at was overall pretty satisfied. after all, he learned a new spell. while he may not be able to cast the spell right now, he has no use for it anyways. he had wondered why his mana wasn't developed even after all of that cultivation for his mana. That lead him to believe that it has nothing too do with mana but with his age.
Akio was upset at the fact that his age was currently limiting him in becoming stronger, but as he cant really do anything to fix it. he gave up. He looked around at the pile of books he had tipped over and tried to slid them all in place, which he managed too do by leaning the books on each other or on the wall and pushing until it was in place. he turned around and started to crawl back towards his crib. the window above this crib let the moonlight shine through illuminating the room with its own form of iridescent blue. causing him too feel droopy as he climbed through the broken side bar by removing the nail and replacing it. he laid down and looked up at the ceiling and wished time could go by a little faster as he drifted off to sleep.
this daily schedule lasted for weeks and weeks upon end. never really changing, even when he started to walk it hasn't changed much. Life was simple, too simple in his mind. once he started walking his parents were ecstatic. Jay was jumping up and down in excitement while Ari stood there cheering him on. kind of a role reversal, but he found out that jay actually works in a smithy , making swords and basic armor for new adventures. His brown hair turns grey along with any clothes he was wearing that day when he returns. Ari is just a stay at home mother, she plays with the neighborhood kids and makes small snacks for them too enjoy.
'I've also tried multiple times to converse with them but they get too excited when I try and speak a new word that its kind of impossible. But while nothing progressing towards my dream to become strong enough to be better than everyone. I have learned some new things about this world.
The currency in this world is what I assumed had figured with any town like this. I've seen them a few times around but I've read that there are 5 different coins for this town, surprisingly this currency remains the only form of currency around this large continent. a pleasant surprise, as well as how easy it is too understand. currency values i know of now are
15 copper = apple
100 copper= 1 bronze
100 bronze = 1 silver
100 silver = 1 gold
100 gold = 1 scale
Scales are the highest form of value in this world. They are... well.. scales of a dragon or any calamity class scaled monster. as the scales never diminish in durability, but once detached from a life source it become extremely fragile to most forms of higher magic and pressure. So they decided to use them as a form of currency, besides. if you manage to get enough of them to make a piece of armor, you might as well just buy a villa and live your life. Akio managed to make a small mental note on this and turned to go get some food'
Akio was walking around his house slowly as he wasn't used to it yet when he saw a message.
------System update------
Congratulations on living through your first year!
as I know your mind is years ahead of all the other
kids, I gave you a year before allowing full access
to the system. all remaining features will now unlock
------------------------
Saying Akio was excited was an understatement as he actually ran to the sofa and jumped (after falling a couple of times) on top of it and opened up the system.
------system menu------
name: Akio Sano
race: Human? (mixed between a human and a humanoid)
titles: Verglas's chosen
points:1000
open status
open storage
------------------------
Akio was a little confused. he had gained 900 points which of now had no use to him and he had gained a title. he wondered if the titles did anything at all and tried selecting the title
------Verglas's chosen------
gives + 5 free status points per level
grants a new evolution path if discovered
-10% XP gained from orbs :
- XP is directly converted to points
------------------------------------
Akio read through what the title had in store for him and was a little mad at the fact he was wasting XP for something completely worthless.
"Akio are you alright?" Ari was cooking lunch for herself and making akio some soup. she must have seen his upset face as she was now worried
"I'm fine" Akio didn't want to worry his mother, while she was nice too him. She can be a tad bit annoying sometimes. Akio decided to look out the window to try and find something to distract him. outside kids were playing, he noticed that one of the boys in the group had animals ears and a shortened tail.
'so a beast humanoid race exists.' Akio looked at his ears and felt a strong urge to touch them. his mother looked outside as well to see what he was looking at so intensely when she looked down at her flowers.
"AH SH----" Ari paused to take a deep breath. the flowers she had planted a couple of weeks ago were now dead as she had forgot to water them with all that has been happening. Akio never even saw the flowers because he was too short
Ari opened her palm and opened the window. out of her hand came a small green light that seemed to seep into the flowers and give them life. the flowers suddenly became a lot more vibrant and even grew a couple of inches. Akio looked on and then at Ari, he wondered if he could find what skill that was with his new system.
------Ari's stats------

age:196 (physical age:????)

------------------------------
looking at her stats he still couldn't see any skills but he was now able to see her race.
'A dryad huh' Akio looked at her with amazement. he had also wondered why his status said that he was half human and half a humanoid. but because her mana was so low compared to his, he thought that maybe he should check his dads status as well.
Ari's face winced up as her arm started to become extremely pale and she retreated her arm and let out a gasp. her arm was now frail and looked almost purple in some areas.
"MOM, are you okay!?" Akio dropped off the couch and waddled over to her mother who was now on the floor holding her left arm
