Lights flashed over the ramp, Stunning models walked on the ramp in front of the audience. They received immense appreciation. The designs this year were really unique. Even Spencer was caught by surprise when he saw the finished product. Though he had not paid any attention to it before and had left the work in the hands of Rose. But looking at the results he felt like he should give Rose a bonus.
Amid all the victorious fashion shows, Spencer had a weird feeling. He was pleased with everything but the constant thought of him losing to Eleftheria was eating him away. He hoped that this year around his designs were the only thing people would talk about unlike the past when all the attention was directed towards the groundless brand.
From the corner of his eye, he saw Rose rushing towards him with a flushed face. His heart sank as he knew that expression very well.
"It happened again? RIght."Spencer asked even before Rose said anything.
"Boss, could you come with me?" She asked.
"What is it? Did something unexpectedly bad happen?" HE hurriedly got up from his seat and asked Rose. She pulled him out of the hall and into the hallway with a sour expression.
"What is it?"
"Look at this!" She showed him the headlines of the news.
Spencer looked at the screen worriedly and read the headlines. There was nothing to worry about, rather a smile appeared on Spencer's face. "Is this? Is this true?" He asked with a joyous tone.
"It's an official statement released by them, It is true." She spoke in a sour tone.
"What's with that face? Shouldn't we be celebrating?" Spencer smiled ear to ear...
"No!! YOu don't understand. I have been waiting for Eleftheria to launch their new designs inpatient and now it's on the news that they are not going to do it this year." Rose pouted.
Spencer looked at her sad face with a tired look. "I give up! I don't want to believe that you are sad for our rivals just because you like their designs.`` Spencer pinched his nose bridge and closed his eyes tightly.
"I am going back home. Meet me at the office tomorrow once this is all done," Spencer added and walked away.
Rose looked at his fading back with a scowl. "He is such a prick...Jordan was a far better boss."
Spencer took an empty elevator to the first floor, He was glad that there were not many people around. With his back against the wall, he tapped his foot gently while waiting to arrive on the first floor. On the sixth floor, the door opened and a tall woman with dark makeup walked into the elevator. HHerclothes were hugging her curvy body, Her flashy heels and the overall attire made Spencer's playboy mode activate and he gave her a gentle smile.
The woman did understand his gesture and slowly closed up to him.
"You are stunning, My Lady." His tone was flirtatious. She smiled "I didn't know I would meet Mr. Bronze here of all places...What a pity that we can't enjoy ourselves." Said the woman in her sexy voice. Her hands touched Spencer's shoulder and her face was just an inch away from Spencer.
"Hah! I would say, there is no place better than an elevator…(Ting)"
The doors opened once more, Spencer wasn't paying attention to it and continued but his ears perked up when he heard the incoming person make a disgusted sound. He looked in the direction of the voice and saw a girl in a baggy hoodie and loose trousers holding her phone to her ears while looking in their direction with an irritated look. Her attire gave her the look of a tomboy. She had soft brown eyes and long straight black hair and a cap on her head. thin slender fingers and a flawless face.
"Nothing...I think I have to wash My eyes with soap now.." She clicked her tongue and spoke to the person on the phone and walked into the elevator. The woman retreated at the arrival of the new girl.
"I didn't know that low lives were allowed in the building." The woman spoke sarcastically, "Mr. Bronze, I think we should file a complaint about this." She held Spencer's jacket and spoke in a hurt tone.
"Hah!" A sarcastic laugh escaped the girl's lips and she didn't say anything but continued to listen to the person on the phone. The doors opened and the girl walked out of the elevator swiftly and before getting out of the building she looked at Spencer with a meaningful look.
He froze under her gaze and didn't notice the phone ringing in his pocket for a few moments. He pulled out his phone and attended to it without seeing who it was.
"Hello?" His eyes were on the door from which the girl had just walked out.
"Spencer! My boy! I am so proud of you!" An enthusiastic voice cheered for him. SPencer's lip lifted and he smiled.
"You got the news? Already?" Spencer asked.
"Rose keeps me updated so yes I know how skillfully you managed everything." Jordan rejoiced.
"Old man! YOu must be happy after dumping all of your responsibilities onto my shoulders." Spencer grumbled.
"This brat! Look at you, Haven't I worked enough already? Do you want me to work until my bones turn into dust?" Jordan exclaimed.
Spencer slapped his forehead after the display of his father's overacting. "When are you coming back? It's been two years already!" Spencer walked out of the building while talking.
"Don't you miss home?" HE asked.
"I will, Soon." HE said.
"Please do that, I want a break from this company as well. Once you are back you should deal with all the matters yourself, I will enjoy my life like before." Spencer puffed his cheeks and unlocked his car.
"Hmm… Fine, How did I end up with such a useless son." HE signed. Spencer grinned in victory and started the engine. "I am driving home, I will call you back once I reach there."
