Pearl's POV,
"It's all my fault," his voice was firm.
I didn't know why he kept in insisting it was his fault, so all I did was stare at him.
Waiting for him to explain further. And what he said next only had me freeze in time.
"You were kidnapped because of me," he said.
And I felt everything come to a halt. The soft breeze that blew on the trees before we paused, and the sound of birds that I hadn't really seen also stopped.
I didn't know. if it was because of the way I was feeling, or if everything really stopped, but I know I felt like the ground beneath me was moving.
Why was I feeling this way, I've always had my doubts about him. I always knew he was probably part of them, he probably had something to do with the fact that I was kidnapped, but and I should have been prepared for when I would find out what I had been thinking was exactly what had happened, but I guess not.
