"A mate is like one destined partner, I think it's the same thing as what you earthlings call a husband/wife," he said and turned his head to look at the Alpha who only glared at him with a straight face making me feel like I was the only person having any form of reactions over what he was saying.
I've always known these people weren't normal people right from the beginning, and I didn't know what I was expecting to hear anyway so I didn't quite feel surprised but thinking about what he said was a little confusing and I could help but knit my eyebrows together.
Thinking back at how he said soulmate also meant husband kinda made me feel a little bothered, however, what bothered me, even more, was how he said the words. "It is what you earthlings refer to as husband/wife," and that kept ringing in my head for quite a while as I tried to understand what he was talking about.
