I got off work early today because it was Friday, but I had to pass in on the group clubbing for the night since I had promised to be with Tate for the whole night.
Thinking about how he would feel if I were to break my promise, didn't sit well with me, and I knew I couldn't do that.
I had completely forgotten about last night's event until Mackenzie asked me if I was coming back to pass the night at her place, and that suddenly caused my palms to become sweaty at the thought of what had happened.
"I'll pass the night at Tate's place and then I'll travel over to my parents for the weekend," I told her before leaving.
I didn't want to think about how I had felt last night, the fears were threatening to surface, but I tried not to let them as I quickly got into the cab I had hailed down and asked him to take me over to my house.
