Chapter 10 - Chapter 10 - Favour

Relief overcame me when I heard a knock on my door. I slid across my wooden floor before opening up the door. The poor guy barely had time to raise up the bag before I grabbed it, throwing a twenty into his chest. "Thanks, Jared!" I shouted before politely nodding.

Just as he was about to speak, I slammed the door right into his face before running right to the kitchen.

"It's... actually Jeremy."

Walking back into the kitchen, the blood of blood still lingered in the middle of my once pristine kitchen. A luxury that I now hate myself taking advantage of before. Throwing the bag down onto the floor before falling down to my knees, I gestured towards it with gusto.

"I've got your meat." I declared. "I don't know if you wolfmen like it raw or-" I didn't have time to finish. He grabbed the bag and I felt myself almost retch at what I witnessed next. Let's just say that it wasn't for the feint of heart...

I wasn't even able to look at him in the eye. The way he ripped... no, never mind. Thinking about it does absolutely nothing, but somehow, I got something out of this. He was using my hand towel to soak up the blood on his wound, which was progress in my book.

"I'm not a... wolfman, or whatever you called me." He finally spoke! This is running smoother than I originally thought. He looked up, wiping his mouth with my white table cloth (RIP), before facing me. His eyes were challenging, and sharp. One could even say that they were scary.

"I'm a werewolf." Hold on, teenage girl fanfic werewolf? Or horror, scary werewolf? I mean, there is a huge difference between the two. You go online and search up 'werewolf', it will come up with searches of either of those choices. He seemed to recognise my confusion.

"You're a human. I'm half wolf, and guessing by the scent in this large room, this big house is filled with people like you." Why is he painting me as the outsider here? We don't casually have people who are half wolf walking around the streets.

"What is your definition of a werewolf? Because I'm almost 99% sure that you wouldn't agree with the one that I have in my head." I'll speak to him frankly, at the same time retrieving information on whatever he is. That way, I'll see if he is dangerous or not.

He looked at me sharply. "Werewolves are creatures of the sun." he commenced. "We live under the sun and thrive under the moonlight. Actually, how I came to be here was because I wished on the full moon." Hold on, he wished on the full moon and it transported him here?

"Sorry to interrupt, but why on earth would anyone willingly come and live in this world?" I asked, confused. "Surely whatever life you were living before now wasn't as bad as... well... this." I'm dissing myself but I still kept my point and gestured around my raffish kitchen.

"Trust me," he spoke. "Any place is better than that place."
