Unlike the time Gilgamesh freed his friend from the underworld, the gods would bring him fully back to life while keeping all memories of him.
Ordinarily, that should have been impossible. However, Enkidu was a creation of the Sumerian gods, so his soul belongs to them, so his soul was not lost to the Underworld or reincarnation cycles.
When Gilgamesh freed his friend from the underworld, he only took part of his friend's leave to the outside, but his soul was trapped in the Underworld that is why he behaved like a zombie.
However, with the gods, things would be very different because all of them would be using his divinity to be able to bring him back to life.
