Karla's shift finally ended, at twelve thirty, she had to wait up for the owner to return and take over from her. While waiting for him, she decided to go outside for a quick cigarette break.
"Want one?." Karla offered, shoving one at Talon. Talon spent her entire night out with Karla at the bar, barely interacting with anybody.
"Thank you." Talon said, taking one from Karla, sure that one measly cigarette wouldn't do much harm to her.
Karla helped her light it up, and rested against the wall, staring at the quiet street at the early hours of the morning. The only people on the street were, strictly drunkards or drug peddlers.
"What is his game?." Karla piped up, throwing her companion into perplexity. She tilted her head to the side to read Talon's reaction to her question.
"Game?." She echoed, blowing out a thick cloud of smoke afterwards. It had been quite a while since she had a smoke, on a cold morning.
