(From Evan's Perspective)
It was weird how much I regretted not marrying her. It was not like I had really deep feelings for her, although I was a bit attracted to her. But I was not the type of man who would go after another man's wife. I just wanted her to be happy.
I was good at acting as if everything was fine and I was okay. I just had to do it for a few more months until her husband came back.
It was disgusting to fall for a woman, even just a bit, who was married. I could not believe I did the same thing as that knight Ezekiel did. The only difference between us was that I would not hurt her, or her child. I would do anything to protect them.
I just wished my feelings did not go too far. Even if it did, I would be able to cover them up anyway, unlike Ezekiel who lost his mind.
"Your hair has gotten longer," I said, observing her as we sat in the garden on a bench under a mango tree.
