He had completely forgotten the name 'Ming Ming' in the middle of the call.
It was such a random, ridiculous name. He obviously, wasn't really thinking the name through when Feng Jiao first said it, but now that he was saying it out loud, he felt a little bit ridiculous saying it. It was such an odd name.
Perhaps it should have been a nickname…
He thought about it for a second as he waited for Kong Xiulan to answer. She had gone strangely quiet. Gao Longwei wondered if she couldn't hear him… Maybe he should repeat what he said a little louder just in case.
But Kong Xiulan had heard him loud and clear. She knew exactly what he was saying. That didn't mean that she believed Feng Jiao all of a sudden, that wasn't it at all. She merely heard him. It was enough to make her shocked, but not enough to make her stupid.
