The greater sun had just reached its highest point when Verinia returned to Light Tower with Eva. She had been silent during the entire ride back, and her face was stiff with solemnity.
In her mind, a plan was already beginning to form, but she knew that this plan could in no way take effect until every factor was thoroughly considered.
However, Verinia did not have the time to ponder this further because a flustered eunuch came running in her direction the moment she entered the main hall of Benevolence Palace.
"Senior sister Eva, something happened to the Third Princess!" This was a eunuch who served in Syvia's residence hall. He served directly under her personal maid.
Because he was not a first rank servant, he could not address any of the palace residents directly, so he spoke to Eva, but his eyes were consistently flickering toward the First Princess.
