By the time the lesser sun had begun to rise, a troop of twelve carriages sat in a neat line by the tent area of the Sovereign House.
One of the carriages had been conditioned to host the sleeping body of the Third Princess, and the others held the belongings of the First, Second, and Third Princess's tents, as well as Halen's things.
Verinia had been worried that Halen would not be safe if she left him behind. In fact, given the nature of things, she was completely certain that some disaster would come to him if she let him stay.
The young Prince was naturally unhappy to be taken home early, but he also understood the risk of staying behind.
Halen Hellfryne was the only person in that camp with a right to sit on the Throne of Light. Even if the Sovereign had named someone else to the position, he was still a threat.
Because of this, he complied to his sister's wishes and left with her.
