All at once, she noticed the signs of a blue-green tinge on the man's eyelids and the little red spots that were in his under-eye area. His lips were creased, but each line had a dark hue to it.
Those were details so small that they could be overlooked, but they did not escape her sharp eyes.
Verinia's breath hitched and she dropped the canvas, then walked right into the tent.
The state those from the two Houses were in was more or less the same as when they had been taken. They were obviously well cared for and had not been treated too badly.
However, she didn't have time to think of these trivial matters. She went straight to the heir of House Riladen and asked him, "Did you know your father was poisoned?"
Verinia's voice wasn't loud but it was enough to shock everyone who heard her question. The onlookers crowded outside of the tent gasped and began to discuss.
