Graceful Consort Aredna bit her pale lips almost to the point where they bled. She blinked her dry eyes hard, and tensed her softening legs.

"Highness Consort." The guard repeated again.
Graceful Consort Aredna looked at him, and sighed in resignation.
There was no choice. Her life was long in the First Princess' hands. Whether she lived or died after this, what did it matter? Nothing would change.
Graceful Consort Aredna felt a bleak hoplessness, and vehemently wished that she had not crossed paths with the First Princess at all.
But, nothing would change.
She clenched her shaking hands into fists, and took her first step toward the throne room. Clad in her high robes and dangling displays of jewellery, Graceful Consort Aredna was a sight of beauty and refinement, almost taking attention away from her frail state.
