According to the books in the High Magus' archive, which was the secret library room in Benevolence Palace, the Kus-zu were a reclusive people living in the peaks of the Northern Range.
True to its name, the Northern Range were mountains which were rumoured to have been made by the Kus-zu, and they spanned the length from the northern state of Jedda to the coastal state of Livi.
Right below the Northern Range was the desert of the Shifting Sands, which was a place that was believed to spawn spirits and demons.
But that was a story for another time.
With the cold of the mountaintops, the Kus-zu were the only people that could survive such frigid temperatures, and their skin was a very dark blue, just like the summer sky right before daylight became completely swallowed up.
Similarly to the First Princess' cultivated endurance, the Kus-zu were immune to the cold, but their immunity did not come from habitually freezing themselves.
