It had to be said that Pasme was a wrathful deity, but his temple was rarely sought after for the fact that people did not place too much importance on dreams.
Usually, the devotees that would worship Pasme actively were from the Rifthall clan of priests and priestesses, and the common people who would be seen in his temple were usually there to pray for someone trapped in Pasme's Square.
The Square was a vivid nightmare where Pasme would trap people who offended him. It was called a square because one would have to complete four interconnected tests in order to break free of the trap and awaken.
If one did not pass those tests, they would be trapped in the nightmare without escape and be killed by it eventually.
The requirements of the tests was never one and the same, and Pasme would visit each person's nightmare individually to mete out the punishment due.
