The underwater cave was quite dim with only a sort of unknown crystal acting as a source of light. Surprisingly, saltwater fishes and plants live in the underwater cave, making Darius think that the cave is connected to the sea in more ways than one.
Sea anemones scale the cave floor along with corals and algae, while clownfishes and popper fishes swam back and forth.
When Darius and Jessica came back to the underwater cave with the blue-haired mermaid – which now they know the name. The pink-haired elf did not bother wasting time with idle chat but rather asked her questions right away.
"Marianne," Jessica called the young mermaid.
"Can you tell us more about Geneva?" she said – her fingertips touching the massive portrait painted on the cave wall.
