Kalla stared at Darius with disbelief, he heard it but chose not to help. She shook her head and took a step back. She's not entirely sure why, but somehow, she felt betrayed.
"I can't believe you," she hissed before turning around.
"Kalla wait," Darius called while keeping his voice low.
Kalla run away from the group but before she could even make it far, the ground below her collapsed.
"Kalla!" Darius immediately runs after her.
"Are you alright?" Darius asked while looking down at Kalla.
"I-I am…" She mumbled while rubbing her hip.
"Geez… wait a moment, I will get you out of there."
"D-Darius, there's a tunnel."
'Help.' The raspy voice sounded one again.
"Kalla don't," Darius said upon seeing the young woman's reaction.
She looked up at Darius, her sparkling blue eyes filled with resolve, "I have to," she said before walking inside the tunnel.
"Goddammit Kalla," Darius hissed.
