Music played loudly in the center, as the people danced together with bright smiles on their faces. The sun was high up in the sky and the winds are warm and gentle. As the people continued to celebrate, liquor flowed freely like the water in the fountain.
In the corner of the plaza, Darius watched the people silently.
He's not fond of festivities, not even in the slightest. Because such things are too loud and much too crowded for his liking.
"You should join them, all of this is for you after all." Alexander stood next to Darius while holding two glasses of what appeared to be wine.
He handed one to Darius as he awaited his response.
"This is a celebration for the death of the monarch not for me," Darius simply said before sipping on the drink.
"Besides, I don't like these sorts of things." He added.
Alexander chuckled, "Well, suit yourself."
