The night was silent and cold, the moon shines in the sky above as the young griffin slowly open its eyes.
Brown orbs shone ever so slightly as they reflected the moonlight. The chilling breeze brushed against his soft feathers.
In his half awaken state, Feli remembered the conversation he had with Darius before he left for the castle.
'But mama, I want to go!' Feli protested.
'Feli it's too dangerous, you can't go with us." Darius insisted.
"But I want to help…' Feli replied, his desire to join the fight still unwavering.
'No, you're not going and that's final.' Darius said in a much sterner voice.
'But…' looked down.
'I want to help,' he muttered under his breathe.
'I know that you do, but it's too dangerous. Feli… I don't want you to get hurt, that's why I want you to stay here.' Darius explained.
Feli's pleading eyes met his purple orbs.
