Brennan glanced over the window, his eyes gleaming while he stares at the stars that light the night sky, while the moon shines with brilliant silver light.
"Hey, Malory. Are you there?" He mumbled, a subtle smile gracing his lips.
Yes, he is smiling now – but that doesn't mean the pain in his heart is gone.
"So much had happened in the past few months, it's almost unbelievable." He shook his head.
"It was just a while back when we were talking about running away from your family so we could have a better life, now things are so different it's like I'm living someone else's life."
Brennan sighed.
"I just wish you were here," he pursed his lips.
"So you could see how far I've come and tell me that I've done well."
The young man released another sad sigh before remaining in absolute silence.
